Sparkie 27
Really don't like the fact a lot of fans slag Ramires and then are happy to celebrate him improving, as he has been week by week, to the Chelsea standard as soon as it becomes obvious. He is young after all, and has come all the way from Portugal to, well, a pretty big club.
teignman 441
I have reserved judgment on Ramires. He was my MOTM last night. The Brazilian really imposed himself on the game, and showed boundless energy. He is adapting to the physicality of the PL, and this is great cos I think teams target him with rough challenges. Kostas 1,468
So all it takes is 2 good (or even great) games out of 13 to turn valid criticism into slagging?

I made myself look like a mug by criticising Drogba after his first two seasons, saying he didn't bring enough to the team. With Malouda, I always knew he would come good after watching him for so long with Lyon. I know better than to call players after a couple of dodgy games, they are human afterall

Rambo 1,729
Why don't you like the fact people have appreciated his improvement? LolBecause the same people never gave him the chance to show his strengths but jumped the gun to say that he was a bad signing for Chelsea. Or is it a case of "I told you so"?
Mohamed Ammar 1
Ramires Performance Begins To Improves , Especially In the last match against boltoni think he will be better by games , and he will regain his missing confidencebut he should be tough enough to be suitable to the style of playing in the english premier league ,
BlueLion. 21,491
For the second game running, Ramires and Terry appeared to be the only players giving a toss. Played very, very well today, he has again impressed me.

LDN Blue 7,903
But... I didn't really understand why Carlo has substituted him.....for Kalou Ramires made some good runs today, there was one he played with Lampard (I think) which should've ended in a goal for him in the first half, he was very unlucky. He's improving at a rate which is impressive, he's showing good attacking awareness (which I didn't think he would have). If he carries on like this Mikel/Essien will have some real competition when Mikel comes back
Swoopz 183
Ramires is bringing an energy to the team that I havnt seen before, almost like a young attacking Ashley Cole. He chases and breaks down any attempted counter attack, its like watching a cheetah take down a gazelle. This speed allows him to create runs that defenders simply cant keep up with and he had some absolutely brilliant runs which were ignored by Anelka. This brings up a whole different issue by itself, Anelka is only good when he is competing for his position. When he begins to feel comfortable, his performance reflects it. Sparkie 27
Ramires was taken off because, for all his tireless energy and enthusiasm, he doesn't offer enough of an attacking threat at a time we were chasing a goal. So that's why Ancelotti brought on a striker, so that we could get that goal. And we did, because of Kalou's smart reading of Drogba's little chest, and simply crossing the ball earlier up the pitch. Swoopz 183
Kalou played well. He got stuck in the box a few times and had nowhere to go, not really his fault, nobody was there to help. I was actually very unimpressed by Bosingwa, he insisted on getting the ball, then would start his run down the right flank, only to follow up with a missed pass or a cross that was way off target. It was pathetic.
RX8 40
For me is a solid performance at this moment of the season as I spected because he was new. He will Help a Lot. Is a Similar player like Essien, Box to Box Faster than Essien but less Strong. Ones he finish to adapt to the live in London he will be great and one of the best. He was a great buy
