The odds are that we can use them again before the season ends. Essien is about to be back soon too, so that should put some less weight on our defence, would be great if he could be back for the united game!!! Further assessment has determined that the defender will not need surgery on damage suffered at Portsmouth on Wednesday and is therefore expected to be out for four weeks. That means Carvalho could play for Chelsea again this season and the same is true for Michael Essien and Ashley Cole. It is anticipated Essien will be out for another four weeks as he recovers from knee surgery. Michael Ballack has recovered from the Achilles problem that kept him out of the last two games and is available for Saturday's visit by Aston Villa, as is Didier Drogba despite limping off at the end of Wednesday's game. Ancelotti revealed there is a chance knee-injury-victim Branislav Ivanovic could be back for the game against Manchester United. ----------------4 weeks, thank god!And Iva is also out for 4 weeks/a month, so they will be ready for the end of the season.
