Badboy 1,526
I think he will be the long term replacement to anelka. His agility and finishing ability is of a very high standard for someone his age, he is a better player than kalou and should start more games as a result. I think its been a brilliant bit of business in bringing him in to our squad !
zolayes 14,489
see him more in the drogma mould ..agree seems to be very promising ..but Kalou does bring something to the table as well.its good to have options Edited February 15, 2010 by zolayes

BlueLion. 21,491
If Kalou was keeping Kaka, rather than Kakuta, off the bench, then I'd be worried. However, back to the topic, Sturridge has delighted me. For a young man coming to the club it is always going to be hard to break into the first team, especially with the likes of Drogba, Anelka and Kalou already established in that role. He's done exceptionally well when called upon, and made some important contributions - four goals and a number of assists, including the set up for the winner against Fulham and Lampard's penalty against West Ham. He's done well considering he's had limited opportunities, so I'm delighted with his progress.
EskWeston 696
As BlueLion says, done brilliantly with the limited chances he has been given and has certainly shown he deserves more chances and i am sure he has a good future with us. The Big Drog 1,110
Great signing by the club and shows the clubs commitment to building a team for the future. In 3-4 years Sturridge could prove to be the main man at Chelsea and England. I think he is more in the Anelka mould , he will drift , he is lightening fast , he is an excellent finisher and his link up play is quite good. He is more speed than muscle which is why I think he is better compared to Anelka than Drogba.
NattyBlue 44
Sturridge seems to have got his head down and got down to his work, he'll keep on poaching at this rate and I think can be a great asset to the club as long as he keeps this mindset
boshman 1,073
Really impressed with Sturridge this season. When he has started he has scored goals, ok against championship opposition but he can still put the ball in the back of the net. He brings more to the table though. His strength and his speed are a fantastic combination to have. I think he should be given a long run in the first team to prove his worth. Don't think that will happen this year as we are getting into the "nitty gritty" but definately next year. Great signing and looking forward to seeing him become a top striker here at Chelsea. northernblue 2
It think it has been good management by Carlo by playing Sturridge in the less-pressurised games, which allows him to settle in and gain confidence. It would have been silly to throw him into a huge title match. However given he has scored a few goals already this year I would like to see him play a bit more from now until the end of the season. NattyBlue 44
Borini - Sturridge could be a thing of the future...with Kakuta putting the balls in for them

Fulham Broadway 17,312
Sstill needs some fine tuning in my book. Attacks have broken down when hes given the ball away. At the moment if Anelka and Drogba were struck by lightning, the board wouldnt use him as regular striker. Theyd get someone else in.That said the fellas only young, so give him time. millzy_chelsea_fan 4
daniel sturridge is one of my favourite players already. hes good to watch. he injects more pace and skills into the team and ups the tempo.i agree he is more like anelka. he does need to improve his passing in my opinion
henrik lin 0
He passing is already good, covert, unpredictable in my opinion. He needs to learn heading and long shoot. He also needs to avoid injury as a future super star.I think he got more potential than Rooney. His pace, height, dribble, are just the next british talent.Maybe I just don't like Rooney very much...daniel sturridge is one of my favourite players already. hes good to watch. he injects more pace and skills into the team and ups the tempo.i agree he is more like anelka. he does need to improve his passing in my opinion
