Justin_3d 1,140
Most of the players don't care about his history at the club, the resurgence is down to AVB leaving, not RDM's genius managerial masterminded magic.Interesting and how do you know most players don't care about his history? Cause I saw Lampard saying something like he is Chelsea through and through. But that some players don't respect that, sounds like an abomination to the club past! ulsterchelsea 3,221
Loved him last week after the CL draw when the press boy kept pushing about playing Barca. Thought he handled it very well.
BenficaGlory 86
Do you guys think RDM is only a short term coach or will he remain as Chelsea's coach next season?
Kezza 1,965
Do you guys think RDM is only a short term coach or will he remain as Chelsea's coach next season?Who knows tbh. I guess if we end the season with a trophy and Papa Roman is happy with his performance, then he may well be around for a while.
LDN Blue 7,903
Like Sam (I think) said, wait till we draw 2 games in a row and everyone will call for his head. I do like Robbie, think he's a great person who has a great deal of affection for the club, but I don't see him lasting next season. He'll be at the end of his contract too so I don't think a. We'll offer him one or b. He'll accept an assistant's role.
Ollie 4,400
Unfortunately i think Roman will get someone else in but Robbie has done a perfect job so far so you never know. If we somehow can win the FA Cup and come 4th and maybe get to the UCL Semi's/Final he may have a chance. If we win the UCL, he'll definitely get the job nailed on. ZanSnake 1,211
He has done brilliant so far, and if he can get Torres scoring again, i think the big mad Russian might give 'em some time longer.

BlueLion. 21,491
He was tactically excellent tonight. From my match report:While the players will earn all the plaudits for a performance of guts, determination and professionalism, the hero of the day is the former fans' favourite; Roberto di Matteo. Having experienced first-hand the demise of Andre Villas-Boas, the Italian has shown considering backbone in his vehement defence of an ageing Chelsea squad, and his faith in them was repaid in kind by his players. The will to win has returned since di Matteo's appointment, and it is only fair to commend the man who scored that goal at Wembley for an effective team selection and spot-on tactical performance. He may not have the arsenal of attacking talent that Harry Redknapp or Roberto Mancini have at their disposal, but di Matteo has been able to motivate his players to a standard that puts his side in a great position to progress to the semi-finals of a competition they may well be taking a brief hiatus from. With fourth place becoming an increasingly distant objective for a side that has been unable to replicate their recent Champions League and FA Cup exploits in the Premier League, it would seem that actually winning the competition is di Matteo's best bet of securing football in this competition next term. Justin_3d 1,140
I really thought he has been tactically good since he took over.People keep saying that Spurs and City where wrong, but I did not saw nothing wrong with them.City was a similar tactic like this game against Benfica, defend and counter. It almost work, but went down with Essien handball...The Spurs, that was not Robbie fault but the players. They played bad, and gave no passion for the team except the defenders. That game showed that no matter what happen this season, if we where to do a miracle and win the CL, Chelsea still need mids and wingers. TacticalBlues 2,817
One thing that impresses me is how he had no hesitation in benching the old guard for their sluggish and quite embarrassing game against the Sp*ds. Good job their
robdog 2,084
I am ready to remove the Interim tab from DiMatteo. He totally out-couched Jesus today, who thought CFC would come in w/ some bruisers. Instead CFC came out fast & sleek & out maneuvered Benfica. True Benfica was not given a pk, but Robbie D didn't do anything wrong today.
