OneMoSalah 8,886
3 games in but things are looking good for him. Fuck Pep Guardiola, we have Robbie and if he keeps this up without disturbing any players, wins games with that style we've been craving for a while and starts winning trophies then the future looks good for him as Chelsea manager.Hes already written in to the clubs history as a player winning the FA cup and a coach winning the CL and FA cup (in a season that minus the two trophies was fucking awful!) If he can continue the good work then I will be very impressed. With Roman hanging over his shoulder though and Pep out of a job for now I don't know whats going to happen next summer, time will tell.I didn't think he was the right man to rebuild Chelsea but the recruitment has been very good, maybe he is now? Hope we win the Super Cup on Friday, hopefully spur us on to better things like challenging/winning the league, winning the FA cup/League cup and maybe the Club World Cup in December. All in all, trophies is key to him staying in a job.
warnie_666 1,081
Well things are looking good alright. The challenge is how he handles the period between November to February. Last 4 seasons, that period has cost us the league title. Winters in England jinx us.
magic weeds 446
Can you imagine what will happen to him if we win PL, CC, FA cup, CWC, Supercup and CL this season?
ZanSnake 1,211
If we sign a back-up striker, then i thing we might be okay if Robbie goes for a rotation during the winter months, especially with the CWC, EPL, FA Cup, and League Cup games. Maybe that is where players like Yossi and Lucas can get some time. Did what was needed last season and more, and he adds a little Suave to the club imo.Robbie Di Matteo - Mr Saurve

Rowan_Osborn 58
For those of you with short memories....Absolutely spot on. This was a poor day at the office, but this was a pointless game. in Every game that has mattered RDM has shown he can do well.
Sheva. 5,373
The only criticism of him i have is that he shouldn't be playing the same team every game - everyone knows we will play the same back 5, Mikel + Lampard, then Ramires on the right - sometimes it's good to mix it up - which tbf he did against Newastle, more of that please. Mikel + Lampard is too slow to play with team that are gonna play to the counter.
Rowan_Osborn 58
Exactly. Mikel + Lampard is too slow to play with team that are gonna play to the counter.Playing them together is way too slow, I would like to see Mikel/Romeu alongside Ramires and give either Moses or Sturridge a chance on the right wing. Lampard is a legend but i think his time is up, maybe he can act as an impact sub like Giggs is at United.

Rowan_Osborn 58
Yeah. I think Mikel - Meireles could work. We have a large squad we can take adventage of it.We have a lot to play with. Against lesser teams i can see Oscar in that pivotal role that Lampard plays. My issue with Merieles is that he is very inconsistent, some times he's great, some times i don't understand how he ever became a professional footballer. Romeu should get more game time. Rowan_Osborn 58
With the essien's deal Romeu should play more. You would hope so, I've got a feeling his lack of games is down either to a fear of Barca wanting to buy him back if he performs well or the legacy of his injury is greater than previously suggested and he is still recovering like Essien. Muzchap 8,966
RDM looked like an Amateur tonight - completely out of his depth!I really hope he sorts it out 0-2 now on potential silverware - Roman isn't a patient man and if Pep says 'yes' - I think Robbies days are numbered... nono 791
So we've played against two good sides so far, City and Atletico, and have been horribly exposed in both games.
OneMoSalah 8,886
Going to be brutally honest here, didn't like how he waited to the 86th minute or whatever to sub Sturridge on. Also dislike the fact Meireles was dropped after an amazing performance against Newcastle. Why didn't he not play Azpilicueta if he knew Adrian and Cristian Rodriguez had pace in abundance??? Poor tactical analysis on Athletico by him and his backroom staff for this one. Didn't look like he wanted to change the game at all, Moses provides another option due to his strength and pace and against a team that was sitting deep and playing physically he would of been useful.Call me harsh if you want or try or say "oh its not like you could od any better bla bla bla" bullshit I was shocked some of his choices tonight.Still first 3 games of the season have been good though. Atwa 78
So we've played against two good sides so far, City and Atletico, and have been horribly exposed in both games.Yeah, we can defeat lesser sides on individual skill but against strong sides we get outplayed so badly. Of course this is only two games but its so bad that alarm clocks should be ringing for everyone. I don't think Di Matteo is the right man for the job, I never did.
