michaelme 1
Brilliant! I hope he can keep the momentum and hang onto the job for at least the 2 year deal. Would be so good to have a successful manager long-term to add some stability to the club.Robbie's absolutely earned a dig at the full time role - c'mon you Blues! Fulham Broadway 17,317
Pleased about that, but theres always a but....2 year deal but i doubt he'll see that out tbh.Buck and Gourlay will use him as a lever for the ground move -stop gap for who Roman really wants in place, but RDM can scupper their plans by landing the league or Ole Big ears again next year

Superblue 6,372
Robbie has shown you can be BOTH a great man manager of players and have a fantastic tactical mind.On this basis thank fuck we didn't bring in 'Arry, who players might like playing for but doesn't have a scooby doo how to set a team up; the FA cup semi showed that in full! chelseasince68 21
Thank God Roman has appointed Robbie. Justin_3d 1,140
It has been mentioned on Sky Sports.Wow mind blown!I wonder if it's because Harry is an illiterate, who can't spell, can't write, and is the most disorganize person in the planet? skeeo 37
Deserves it though the true test will be how consistent we are in the EPL
Superblue 6,372
A win percentage of 62% is admirable also considering we had a lot of difficult games within the 21 -Spurs twiceLiverpool twiceBenfica twiceBarcelona twiceNapoliArsenalMan CityNewcastleBayern Munich13 of his 21 games included either teams who finished above us in the league, and Liverpool who under Kenny Dalglish had never lost to us, and some top european teams. Justin_3d 1,140
I remember during the PL how people here where bitching about RDM tactics. Now it's alll quiet.....but expect in 2 or 3 months to see more of that, and maybe a RDM out thread. Justin_3d 1,140
Great news for Di Matteo and Chelsea. The guy deserves this chance. Hopefully he can bring some stability to the club.I wonder if Marin was a RDM signing?Marin said he spoke with RDM, he liked his style of playing with wingers, and Gourlay said RDM had some inputs in our target.I don't see it with Hazard cause that's been our target way before RDM and AVB, but Marin came out of the blue, and me thinks it was a RDM suggestion! royg 96
Good thing he was given more than 1 year! A manager with a year contract is unsettling for Players and could work differently in terms of managing because you have then essentially handicapped him from working with a fair and firm hand especially with the "top" players on the squad who can then literally hold him to ransom and this will also be bad for the Youth with all the aspiration to play for first team but with a "dead man walking manager" this will not push through with all the top players breathing on his neck. Other than that, there is no Manager in EPL who is on a one year contract not SAF, not Wenger, not Brendan Rodgers, not Uncle Arry, nor Paul Lambert, none! It's totally unfair and an insult to RDM to be appointed for a year contract compared to his fellow managers in the EPL, ffs he is champions league winning coach! There is only one Di Matteo!!! :blue scalf: :cfc:
