ja1 1,166
Onto the Chelsea match now. But Chalobah played pretty well from what I saw, suits Middlesborough's possession based game
Popular Post! The only place to be 11,313 Posted February 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 22, 2014 A quality performance today, a class above every other player on the pitch and back to what he was doing for Watford hopefully. He's got a fantastic touch, he seems to get around the pitch a lot faster and consistently, he shows a desire to make runs and win the ball back and he nearly got the winning assist at the end with a fantastic ball through that some chap managed to sky.Keep it up and maybe he'll earn himself a loan to Brighton next season (hopefully not, he's better than Mikel already in my opinion). Popular Post! Special Juan 28,141 Posted February 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 22, 2014 Nat did well, wouldn't say quality but he did enough to sniff out a very poor Leeds team. Lost a few battles of strength but that is to be expected the kid is very young. I waited outside the ground and funnily enough he was one of the ones who came over when I showed my shirt, and he gave me a big high five and a bit of a man hug. He showed mass delight when I held up my shirt as I think he was heading straight into the ground.I got two signatures, one from him (At the bottom) and Aitor Karanka at the top. CHOULO19 24,332
Watched the first 30 mins and 15 of the second half and indeed he did look like one of the best players on the pitch. Looking much more like the player we saw at Watford. ja1
ja1 1,166
Just watched the whole match now - I thought he had a very good game, reminded me of his Watford days. Made tackles, interceptions, blocks, and initiates attacks with his quick, first touch passing in a simialr way to Matic does. Created a chance right at the end with a lovely reverse pass for Adomah which he really should have scored. Starting to show his real ability again. Special Juan 28,141
Adomah should of been on from the start, he was great in amongst a load of shite.

ja1 1,166
Started again, apparently had a shot that hit both posts before getting cleared..he does have a relatively good goal record for a young DM/CM.

ja1 1,166
Turns out Chalobah started for the U21s tonight, playing at CB. Original starting XIs had him on the bench. Just went 1-0 up with a Redmond goal
CHOULO19 24,332
Yeah, I watched the first 22 mins but then quit because I nearly fell asleep. Boring, boring game. But Nathanial looked pretty solid at the back. Blocked a couple of shots. Hope Bamford gets some minutes in the second half.
Gilvorak 3,734
Won't make it here. Hopefully he goes on to have a decent career for himself like Jack Cork did. didierforever
ja1 1,166
The second half was better, England creating more chances. But Chalobah's just been forced off with injury, doesn't look serious, he walked off. Probably precautionary
The only place to be 11,313
Won't make it here. Think he's got a great chance based on his skill, physical strength (seems to have a bit more later on in games this season) and his attitude. Just can't see us giving minutes to such an inexperienced player. We'll loan him out to wherever until his contract ends. Now we've got Matic as a stable presence in midfield then we can probably look to blood young players, much like we were with Van Ginkel. It's the new reality and there's no reason why Nat shouldn't get minutes next year (if he stays) with the possible departures of Mikel and Luiz. He only signed a new five year contract five months ago. Muzchap and Gilvorak
ja1 1,166
Jose did say he wanted him in our squad next year. With Essien already gone and Mikel and Lampard extremely likely to leave in the next 18 months I do think there's a good chance he can make it here. If he doesn't it'll definitely be our loss
Yeboii 1,844
Mourinho said something about wanting to have him even in this season, but it was just a better choice to loan him.
