anathemadelight 1
I think Ballack would do it whether you wanted him to or not.
warnie_666 1,081
People say Ballack, but is he guaranteed a starting place? Agreed he may start in absense of Terry n Lamps but Drogba is a player who is one of the first names on the team sheet and he needs to be praised and given confidence. A Captaincy band would make him perform well and stop moaning.
Elliott 7
Ballack or Drogba. Essien has an amazing work ethic, but I don't think that necessarily makes him a good captain.
Alee. 182
Petr Cech for me.. He can organize the team from the back, He's a solid person to fall back on, and he's loyal to the club, he's also the best in his position!
Steve 10,227
Defiantly Ballack or Drogba. They both have alot of experience in being a captain as they both captain there country. If ballack was playing than i would defiantly choose him before drogba. Drogba can sometimes lose it in games and become uninterested. But im sure if he was put under the pressure of being captain he would do a good job of it.
Stamford 3
I don't think the vice captains job suits Frank, I think he tends to have a poorer game whilst deputising for JT. If it were my choice, I would pick JT 1st, Ballack 2nd (I believe the extra responsibility would enhance his game) 3rd Michael Essien.
BlueLion. 21,491
Really? I think he really steps up his game when Terry is out of the side. He's unbeaten as Captain, as well Games like the Stoke home fixture and Liverpool at the Bridge in the Champions League show he has great leadership qualities. NoFear 23
absoulutely.. Lamps alwes puts on a great show evrytime he has lead our team !!! Ballacks n Drogs are both International captains and are excellant fall back options....
warnie_666 1,081
If Lamps was to retire and Terry was to goto Man City Id have Cech as my Captain for a long term. Because Cech is a calm headed guy and he can have a great view of the team's organization standing between the posts. He can also organize the defenses.... BlueLion. 21,491
True, but he can't offer any attacking impetus. Seeing a team 1-0 down, and then their captain driving forward like Terry and Lampard do, is inspirational.
Blue FC 3
IMO a captain is always midfield or defence, they can control the tempo a bit more than a keeper.

.sum41 229
People say Ballack, but is he guaranteed a starting place? No.But if Lamps will not play in match,Ballack almost 100% will be.Because we don't have more quality players on this position. Term-X 7,891
joe cole... hahhahahahha he's a little boy, the day hell freezes over is the day he will have any leadership role at this club. this is why ballack is our 3rd choice, because you can tell from the body language alone that he demands respect. unlike joe cole who's always injured anyway.
