Lavia does my head in.

I hate the fact he is so damn good when he plays. Makes it all the harder to be like "ah well, don't care".

Going to be Lavia’s third season here once things do eventually kick off.

If he doesn’t play in 30 games and has more long spells on the sidelines, we need to seriously look at getting shot of him next summer.

We’ve got lots of options in there such as Caicedo, Fernandez, Essugo and Santos. Not to mention that clown Maresca has a hard on for playing Reece as a CM. And whatever 18-20 year old midfield players we stockpile in January/for next summer.

With them being abit evasive in what the injury issues are with Lavia can't really tell if he's permafooked like Wesley.

I wonder if he's diabetic or got long covid though because his healing time is slow as fook from whatever he gets.

where as JT would get semi-decapitated and just sit out the morning training session.

Forecast: Unfortunately, this game is scheduled for the afternoon once again, just about the hottest part of the day, instead of the more reasonable nighttime kickoff. So it’s going to be swelteringly hot and humid, with a good chance of a big thunderstorm, too. The National Weather Service has issued their heat advisory alert, with the heat index expected to rise into the triple-digits (F) during the day. Fun!

I just don’t understand. How does someone as young as him have so many fucking injuries? Unless he’s got some sort of degenerative condition that’s always going to recur that we don’t know about.

He’s 21 years old and has somehow had an entire career’s worth of injuries. And what’s most ridiculous is that we almost never actually SEE his injuries! He plays a game, gets through it with no visible issues, and then days later we suddenly find out he’s gone for extended periods with no explanation.

Poch broke him with his prehistoric training methods imo, may never be the same again unfortunately

I think his injury issues started before he even arrived, didn’t they?

Anyway, regarding this match I don’t like what I’m hearing when it comes to the weather conditions. Extremely hot and extremely humid. Against a really old opponent who will be happy to sit deep and close shop to conserve their energy and who are used to the heat being a South American side.

Lovely, we get to watch Nkunku slowly jog about unbothered and offering fuck all in the final third once again despite him clearly being up for sale.

Elsewhere, it’s 100% clear now already that João Pedro is instantly ahead of Jackson in Maresca’s mind as our striker. Think he’s absolutely sending Nico a message. Shape up or you’re buried.

No idea what this sudden fixation is with Nkunku after one goal against 10 men. That's the one question mark about the XI.

Huge night for us. One step away from a final.

Yeah... cynically, could be us trying to pump his sale price
