Colwill did not have a great game

Fofana had to bail him out too much (which is scary)

He’s had more bad than good games, and I pined to him personally to not leave when he was out on loan. It’s clearly a mentality thing. The concentration and drive aren’t there. I think he feels resigned to the fact he was about to come back to xyz, but instead has really come into a fray of bullshit. It’s real easy to down tools under this board.

CBs were decent. Fofa a was a bit all over the place and was ball watching in the first.

gusto had a poor game as did caicedo—need a bit more than huffs and puffs at this level.

Cole should get used to the new normal: he’s a known star and tight marking will be always ther.

honestly Cuccu and Lavia were the only outstanding performers for me.

and yes, frustrating to see Sanchez in goal once again.

You thought Caicedo was poor? I thought he was very solid up until the second goal. Quite a few important tackles/interceptions and looked comfortable moving the ball forward. Nothing like what he looked like when he first joined during that very poor spell he had.

Gusto I agree with, though. That was pretty damned concerning from a defensive POV. Doku blasted past him repeatedly as if he wasn’t there. And Gusto has plenty of pace himself.

Anytime Pep put Doku on the left against Gusto he gives him problems as soon as the switch happens

We're looking pretty good for the season ahead.

I hoped we would've had a bit more intense performance but city were in cruise control during periods of the game. (They've won it 4 times in a row so losing to them is not unprecedented. It's about how we perform vs other teams)

We had many many super periods too but didn't take any of the chances/half chances.

It annoyed me that many times we were in on the flanks but didn't put balls in.

The only time we did, Neto almost scored.

We'll be fine guys.

Don't worry.

I tend to agree, for me Enzo and Jackson were by far the 2 worst players out there today, IF and it's a big if, we did get Felix and VO a majority of the shit we saw today wouldn't have happened.

Osimhen wins us that game. Simple as that.

Lavia, Fofana(considering when was his last game), Cucu were good.

Palmer, Neto, Nkunku, Colwill, Gusto were ok.

Sanchez, Enzo, Caicedo and Jackson below par.

City were average, but the early 1-0 helped them tons. We need at least 3 in a row after this one, if we are going to be comfortable top 4 team…

Yeah I’m not a huge fan of Caicedos game in general, so I usually need a bit more from him. He was doing better by the end of last season tho.

honestly I’d rather see Lavia and Enzo there. Always go with the more skillful players until balance stops you heh.

According to an exclusive story covered by HITC, the Los Che are demanding a fee of £34million (40 million euros) for their prized asset. Liverpool will pay £30million and the remaining £4million fee will be paid by Bournemouth to have Mamardashvili on loan for the entirety of 2024-25 campaign. The deal would see the Georgian arrive at Anfield next year.
