True_Blue 469
Best keeper we ever had...i was so pissed when he lost his first team place, because he can easily play in every top team as a first team goalkeeper.
Elliott 7
I can't possibly be upset about Cudicini losing his first team spot to an even better keeper. I just admire Carlo for sticking with us when he could have gone anywhere and got first team football.

chrismada9 1,948
Name: Carlo Cudicini Position: Goalkeeper Number: 23 Joined From: Castel Di Sangro Fee: £160,000 Sold To: Tottenham Hotspur Fee: Bosman transfer Appearances: 216 Clean Sheets: 106 Signed by: Gianluca Vialli Age: 35 ------------------------------------------------------------ Cudicini was one of Chelsea's longest serving goalkeepers, spending 9 years at the club. He was signed by fellow Italian, Gianluca Vialli in 1999 as cover for Dutchman Ed de Goey. After a while however, he began to put together a string of magnificent performances for Chelsea, making him first choice goalkeeper. In the 2002-2003 season, he was recognised as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League, winning the ITV "Golden Gloves" award Premiership goalkeeper of the season award. Between the years of 2004-2009 however, his apperances began to fade when Jose Mourinho brought in Czech Republic keeper Petr Cech from Stade Rennais. Cech became first choice while Cudicini was slipped down the pecking order to second choice. The Italian keeper however participated in a host of Cup games for Chelsea. Cudicini's not-so memorable event happened in a 1-0 victory over Reading during the 2006-2007 season when at the very end of the game, he was knocked unconcious and had to be taken off the field wearing an oxygen mask. Everybody at talkchelsea wish Carlo all the very best at Tottenham Hotspur and would like to thank him for his memoriable 9 year service at Chelsea. diskoviolente 425
Don´t know if anybody realises it or if it´s just only me, but Carlo always seemed to be very relieved when pulling out a very crucial save.Of course any goalie is, but he was lying on the grass some seconds after denying a goal.Just an amazing goalkeeper.Should´ve kept him, i think he is better than Gomes. terry26 6
LOL i know what you mean - i think the one that sticks in my head is the save against Van Horse Face a few seasons ago think it's around 1.20 on this vid tho at 1.15 his reaction to the shearer save is there too

Milan 17,959
I can understand why he left but cannot understand his choice honestly. He would still be a quality goalkeeper in any other, let's say mid-table team. Steve
