Neymar could easily be our Chicharito. Him + Torres could work just like Chicharito + Rooney. I can imagine him as the new Stamford Bridge hero.

As for Aguero, would he leave for Madrid? Aren't they big rivals of his current team? Don't think he'd go there really.

In my humble opinion Roman wants Aguero as much as Neymar, so the decision is up to him. Better grab Aguero in the start and think of the formation later, than wait for the whole summer for Neymar and don't have an efficient bonding with the squad :whistling:

Another thing is that we could just play a such formation

------------------Torres--------------

--------Aguero---------------------Sturridge

A quick swap between Sturridge and Aguero with a lot of crossing and passing in for Torres or the second striker.

that front 3 I would really like to see

And yet he isn't. Torres is Atletico through and through. So is David De Gea. Aguero was bought at age 18. I don't doubt he cares for the fans and organizations but he's Argentinian and did not grow up in the Atletico system. If he doesn't end up at RM it's likely because Atletico won't sell to them.

And I don't believe for a minute the talk from AM. They said the same thing about Torres and he was sold. Actually, Kun's statement on his site mirrors a lot of the talking points Torres had in his farewell press conference. And Kun's definitely going. There's no way he would have put that statement out if he could be convinced to stay. How do you step back from saying, "This is a not a farewell but a see you later"? (Exactly the same thing Torres said). At this point, AM are either trying to pry the highest bid from RM or hope they get a high enough bid from abroad so they don't have to sell him to RM. It's a dance.

Yeah so he's not technically one.

But he still loves the club. Come on, look at that farewell speech, you're telling me he doesn't love the club & fans from that? It's why I think he won't go to the city Rivals. Just don't see him like that, but then again, money does talk..

Torres is a major lure for us to get Kun. They are really close friends (from earlier interviews of both Torres & Kun) and I'm sure Kun would luv to join forces with Torres again rather than warm the Madrid Bench... Lets just hope we put together a decent enough bid for him.

All said, I hope we dont have to pay the entire release clause fee !!!

I don't know Kun's motivations but that's not true. They were teammates for one season and Kun said Torres was a good captain and person and helped him settle in Madrid. But as far as I know, they're not close. If close friendship was a factor, Aguero would be joining Liverpool to be with his best buds, Maxi Rodriguez.

---Torres-----Aguero---

---------Neymar----------

Could work.

One can only dream of an attack as penetrating as that! One thing about that however, is that Torres doesn't play as a supporting striker! I would switch Torres and Neymar around!

i think that neymar was playing in behind aguero and torres. so with that we would be playing with 2 forwards

"This is a not a farewell but a see you later...at next season's derby!" :delight:

If Kun Aguero was a troll.

It must suck to be an Atletico fan. Your club is the 3rd biggest in Spain but has underperformed for years now mainly because of clownish owners. So your best players have to leave in order to play CL and win.

This is 2007 all over again for Atletico but much worse because your best player may go to Real and Spain's potential next superstar GK is leaving at age 20 for Man U.

See Chelsea, it could be worse.

It just wouldn't be fair tbh. Barca gets Fabregas and Real gets Aguero. They would be bloody too strong.

Where is Fabregas going to play in that Barca lineup? Or better, when is he going to play? To rest Xavi or Iniesta?
