chrismada9 1,948
The only reason why Robinho hasn't signed for Chelsea yet is because Calderon is holding everything up by making last minute rash decisions. One minute he says..."Real never keep an unhappy player," and the next he says, "oh, because we can't sign a replacement for Robinho, he's staying at Madrid." I want Robinho to come so badly, but this saga is beginning to fry my tits!!!

chrismada9 1,948
then why don't Real Madrid just let him go??? Then he can sign for Chelsea, which is what he wants to do, and then let that be the end of it?
Laylabelle 9,536
Who knows. He's made it clearer now he dont wana be there but they keep going on how misguided and confused he is blah blah. They just keep coming out with complete crap. Also seem they want him to buy out his contract or whatever Wonder if we'll try all this again in January..prob have the same result If Ronaldo had gone we'd gone him yonks ago..damn Fergie Edited August 31, 2008 by Laylabelle
chrismada9 1,948
Well lets face the facts, Ronaldo was never going to leave Man United, so even if we all hate his guts, he's still going to try to keep his best players.
Laylabelle 9,536
Though Ronaldo is the reason Robinho is more pissed off at Real and more detmined to move so in a way did us a slight favour, not that Real are listening to what he wants One more day left...eeep

Badboy 1,526
Robinho is such a great dribbler if we get him we will have to play 4-3-3 with j.cole and drogba.
Stamford 3
I think today ought to have show Roman and Uncle Fester that we need to get him almost at any price. As BB says, he is a great dribbler and can hold a ball up well, something we sadly lacked today against Spudz. This will end tomorrow for sure with us having to pay a bit over the top. EskWeston 696
Well the last day is finally upon us and it we will know one way or the other for sure by midnight. There is no telling what will happen. Although i have a feeling that after Robinho's press conference Madrid may well decide to just let him go. But you do have to laugh very hard at the way Madrid are being total hypocrits about this transfer with the way they have gone about transfers in the past and even with Ronaldo this summer..... Lampsforlife 0
calderon seems to be an arrogant and egoistic man. He seems to be making this business of getting players and selling them something of a war between clubs. I haven't seen this kind of behavior with any other directors, especially with the player so willing to leave. When arjen robben wanted to leave last year Chelsea were so professional about it, that too to real!!...Didn't make any stupid demands and went ahead with what the player wished for. This is so not the way real should repay Chelsea.
EskWeston 696
It is still very very hard to know what is going to happen. Are Madrid really taking this hard-line stance and willingness to keep a players who really doesn't want to stay and isn't happy with the way the club has trated him? Or are they going through the motions of putting up a fight to make themselves look better in the eyes of their fans? Who knows to be honest. Madrid put themselves in this situation by ignoring Robinho and going all out for Ronaldo which fell through, now they are on the receiving end of what they wanted Ronaldo to do to get out of Man Utd and they do not like it.. I hope we sign him, i think we need him. After letting go Pizarro, Sheva and SWP we are short of options now upfront.

Or are they going through the motions of putting up a fight to make themselves look better in the eyes of their fans? I don't think its about the image in front of the fans, after all the player himself has come out and made his intentions clear. Madrid can't be held responsible for this by the fans. What the fans would not be pleased with is that the player is making statements due to the fact the Real's actions have led the player to this situation. By keeping a player who they have upset they r just hoping he get over it in time. They don't really care for him. They need him this season and will let him go eventually when there actual desire of ronaldo is complete. Robinho knows this, so he's right to be angry. He won't get out of this one.....sadly. But I hope.....
chrismada9 1,948
I seriously think we won't sign him. I think Calderon's resistance to keep him is far too strong! ------------------ Latest..... ------------------ Robinho's move to Chelsea is in severe doubt after Real Madrid angrily hit out at the Stamford Bridge club's transfer tactics, despite the 24-year-old reiterating his desire to join the Blues. (Various) But Real's sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has urged president Ramon Calderon to sell the Brazilian as he believes they can cope without him until the January transfer window.
