Aesthetic Relic 301
Theres plenty of shit flying around in the press for tomorrow saying that this is gonna be a done deal in a matter of hours rather than days. 29m the reported agreed fee. DavidEU 2,023
Yeh, but the press also said we were on the brink of signing Kaka for £70m a few weeks ago. I don't believe any of this. IMO Kenyon is still in Madrid, Robinho is still training with Madrid, and they are struggling to agree a deal. Hope i'm wrong.
BlueLion. 21,491
Aye, it is usually business. Its a matter of time, rather than money, in my honest opinion. Its clear Robinho wants to come to Chelsea, and there is absolutely no possibility Kenyon isn't in Madrid right now, as David says. Madrid just want the right price and fair play to them, he is their player at the end of the day and I'm sure we'd be doing the same if it was roles reversed. Stamford 3
From what I have seen of him BB, I think he is on a par with Robben with the potential to be a lot better. But remember that I absolutely loved Arjen and wanted him to stay.
DavidEU 2,023
SSN Breaking News: Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon says club expect to sign Robinho within 48 hours. Not a fan of the guy, but when he comes out and says something like that, hes normally right. He's not like Calderon or Aulaus who just come out and speak crap every day just to make headlines. Fingers crossed.

Gianfranco_Z 202
Do people hear think robinho is a better player than robben. I cant say really, I havent actually seen ALL that much of Robinho as i'm not often watching Madrid games... If Kenyon comes out and says that then it must be happening. DavidEU 2,023
Sky Sports News talk such bullshit. Kenyon said nothing of the sort. Basically just said talks are on going.
Milan 17,959
From the official website: 'We are ever confident that it [the deal for Robinho] will get done but we have always said it will go to the wire. 'We will keep moving it on and we hope that he will be joining us here at Chelsea.' 'There were two players Luiz Felipe Scolari identified,' he said today, 'one was Deco and one as Robinho and we have already seen the impact Deco has already made on the Premier league. 'I think the squad is strong and capable of competing in all competitions without Robinho but with him, it is an added dimension.'

DavidEU 2,023
Most likely it will be #23 then. You mean most likely it wont be #23? Kenyon gave a similar interview to Chelsea TV tonight, but was a little more optimistic. He also said that Robinho is committed to joining Chelsea.
