manpe 10,861
Bridge plays with greater spirit than Cole. So please I want Bridgey to stay Any other left-back who we'd get to cover for Ashley wouldn't be as good. And Bridge's crosses are good... The idea of trying him on left-midfield wouldn't be a bad idea.

BlueLion. 21,491
From Sky Sports story regarding Mascherano:The Reds boss is also aiming to add new faces to his squad in January, with a centre-half his top target, rather than a left-back. Seemingly dismissing a bid for Chelsea full-back Bridge, Benitez also refuted suggestions that Sami Hyypia could be on his way to Fulham. Benitez added: "We are looking for a new centre-back, but we are not looking for a new left-back. "And we are not looking to sell Sami Hyypia either." Elliott 7
I did think that, had Liverpool wanted a left back, this wasn't entirely implausible, but thankfully that puts pay to the idea.

Badboy 1,526
Wayne Bridge is one of the most underrated left backs in Europe,he is better than every left back in the Top 4 of the Premiership. He defends well and he attacks well,i must say i agree with him he is good enough to be a starter.I like him much more than Ashley.Liverpool can go fuck themselfs and Rafa could get that 6 mill up his ass.Bridge is staying at the Bridge :thumbsup:Tbh the best left back in the league is evra ! misschief 24
We know Grant's shit, but someone would have to tell him this sort of thing would be managerial suicide surely? Not only a decent and much needed LB who'd walk into any first team in the country but the idea of letting him go the that bunch of tossers as well? Couldn't happen. Fulham Broadway 17,350
Agree theres no way this would happen. Grant would have to have the intelligence of an empty baked bean tin to agree and the next time in public he would be lynched.

Fulham Broadway 17,350
When you put it like that.............we'd better get the rope. Rope ? Surely piano wire. Bridge himself is after a move if tomorrows chip paper is to be believed. ''Blues defender Wayne Bridge has threatened to leave if he is overlooked for the Carling Cup final''. (Daily Mail) I somehow can't envisage Bridge saying anything like that though.

the wes 7,212
According to reports, Wayne Bridge will leave Chelsea in the summer if he does not get a guarantee on his future at Stamford Bridge. The key indication to whether the England defender is still an important member of Arvam Grant’s side is reportedly set to come at the Carling Cup final against Tottenham, where if he is not selected, Bridge will reportedly leave. The 27-year-old was said to be disheartened after he was left out for the squad against Liverpool on Sunday. According to the Daily Mail, Bridge is still disappointed a move to the same club did not materialise during the January transfer window as had been rumoured. PaulHopkins 1
From Daily Mail: Wayne Bridge has stunned Chelsea by threatening to demand a transfer if he is overlooked for the Carling Cup Final against Tottenham. Sportsmail can reveal that the England international, who was left out of the Chelsea squad to face Liverpool last Sunday, is determined to quit Stamford Bridge if he does not start the game in 11 days' time. Bridge's position leaves the Chelsea coach with a massive decision to make ahead of his first final but the left back believes he deserves his place ahead of troubled Cole. He was outstanding in the 2-0 Carling Cup victory over Liverpool in December and impressed against Everton in both legs of the semi-final. Bridge, 27, is one of the quieter members of the Chelsea squad but Stamford Bridge sources disclosed that the former Southampton playerwas furious with his omission from the squad last Sunday. Bridge is still disappointed that Liverpool were not encouraged to follow up their interest in signing him during the January transfer window and he believes his future lies elsewhere. Grant called his players together during training on Monday to tell them that they could leave if they were not happy at the club and Bridge believes that was the green light for him to quit.
