OUR as in us supporters problemhas always been is we dont have a scoobie WHAT goes on behind closed doors. We can ummmm and ahhh all day. And no matter what we say or how loud we shout it I honestly dont think 'they' really give a shit. We just gotta hope that the next geezer does a good job for awhile and we have a good craic watching the lads.

Are you basing this because we sack Mourinho?

Must I point to you that we didn't want to sack Mourinho. We had no choice but to let him go because of the position we was and he lost the dressing room.

As long as any new manager don't have a worse season then what Mourinho showed us this season then he will be good.

We will go the Wenger approach, as long as we finish top 4 we are good.

Not at all mate, I'm going to expand on what Madmax said;

Yep. I just can't get invested in this managerial malarkey anymore. Rinse and repeat every 6 months. Ditto with the whole youth debate.

Jaded.

It's not about Mourinho, clearly the decision to sack has been justified. How can anyone argue otherwise, right? But our problems go so much deeper than the guy who's sitting in the managerial seat. And then ya'll come and tell us why it's different why it's all going to be okay, when we all know that the moment shit hits the fan the forum splits again. But we alway, always repeat the cycle. We think that a new manager is always the answer. In this case it might have been, but if we continue not to probe why, we'll never grow.

Doesn't it bore you though? To go through the same cycle every 2 years?

Course it fuckin does. In a perfect world we woulda kept Mou this time round and it would have all been rosey in the garden. But we aint on our own going thru this crap are we?Its a rarity in these times to have a manager more  than 3 years eh.

I would be happy enough if it was every 3 years.....that seems to be the way of the footballing world.

Whats needed is seamless transitions from back room staff through to players and managers. A few clubs like Bayern, Barca, Juve and even Man City seem to manage it far better than we do as a club

I still believe our objectives has changed. I think the board would have been content with a top 4 finish this season with Mourinho. Something Mourinho said it was easy to do and mock Wenger for that. But after it was all lost and in danger of relegation after losing the dressing room there was no choice.

Terry knew it,  he even said it's much easier to sack the manager then the whole squad.

When? Can't recall a single occasion when Jose has said: "It's easy to finish Top-4".

Actually you are right, I made a mistake. I confused it with the "it's easy to defend" mocking comment.

Sorry about that.

Pretty much this ^

I don't mind that we change managers as we do, if only the problems were in the coaching department. But every time we change anything it's out of panic or it lack foresight and proper coordination.

We do it in shrouds of controversy and chaos

I basically agree with you and thats what scares me. It seems that over the past couple of transfer windows Romans given orders down to Emanalo and Grav to lock up the money. Theres no other reason why Mou wouldnt have been building up the team he obviously would have wanted to do. A question rises whether roman had told that to Mou before he signed his contract. BUT that situation is still the same so whoever takes over should by  rights not have any money to spend neither. So if this report of a £130 mill war chest is right then thats what pisses me off because IF Mou was given it we wouldnt be in the shite we are now!

Jose spent more than 100 mill in each of the first 2 seasons, stop this myth he wasn't given money.
