Frustration

Deco........Another terrible performance from him today.

He offered very little if anything to the team today. Countless times he gave away posession with careless sloppy passes and yet when the substitutions came around he remained on the pitch. Is this because he's one of Scolaris signings ?

One game he'd get the benefit of the doubt, but this kind of performance from him is becoming a regular occurance. He needs to be dropped imo to get his act together. We need to sacrafice the flair that benefits us away from home for the more in your face performance you need to sort our home form. How can LFS not see that this isnt working?

Losing so many points at home already is pathetic. The game today cried out for Drogba. When he came on he caused problems for all of 10-15 minutes then the supply he needed didnt arrive. Theres no pint bringing on a player such as Drogba if you're not going to play to his strengths. Balls floated into the box isnt going to do any damage, they need to be whipped in and I dont recall once during the game when we got someone out wide to provide a single cross. We're too one dimensional. Teams have us sussed. The only thing keeping the boo boys off Scolari is our away form. If it was as bad as our home form we'd be sitting in 6th place on 26 points just above Everton and below Hull 12 points off the pace.

Theres so much wrong with the way we're playing atm I could go on all night. Something needs to be done now. If this was Grant he's be hung drawn and quartered by now. Add to this we're told that RA doesnt want to part with his cash any more and its looking like more doom and gloom is on the horizon.

Our next home game is against West Brom on Boxing Day. Thats a 3 point banker....isnt it? Either side of that is away games to Everton and Fulham then Southend in the FA Cup before traveling to Old trafford for a make or break game which will determine our season imo. We may have been spoilt over the last 5 years or so, but you at least expect more from your team at home than to go off the pitch at the final whistle with a whimper. Time to get the finger out lads........again. I'm getting irritated saying this every other week now.

So it's like this

Everton (A)

WBA (H)

Fulham (A)

Southend (H)

Manchester United (A)

This won't change crap unless we play well in all of these games, since 3 of them are shit no offence to Wba and Southend (Fulham is really shit).Everton away is a though place to go even though we manage to get points of them. But we were unstoppable at home but look at us now? so theory of our previous records and results isn't there anymore.Perhaps this is the period we change things if not we will fall behind in the League and get out of the UCL early and have a bad rest of the season.

i am still hoping we can go back on track and Scolari must change things NOW.

Some of the players clearly dont look fit enough at the moment, Deco has been good inabout 1 game since he got injured in september.

Were not the only team dropping points at home, Liverpool have'nt won in 3 games either thank god.

There's nothing wrong with the way we're been playing away from home because theres space, space for Anelka to run into and thats the differents.

At Home its like playing against a brick wall, so fustrating the way teams come and just park the bus as Jose used to say.

At the end of the day we should be good enough to beat the likes of West Ham & Newcastle, i think the reason were dropping points is because Carvalho is out injured.

If Carvalho and Essien were in the team, we wouldn't be conceding these crazy goals, because Riccy would be throwing himself of everything. We wouldn't say that our team was looking tired, because Essien would drive them on with a run from deep. Two players we need back. Very soon.

i was thinking that yesterday as well - we do miss Riccy as he adds to the attack in open play

Deco hasn't really been in the games lately and that is frustrating as well

as much as i dont like to admit it but we played better under Grant - we still had our home record for one thing and also still looked like a team who could at some stage defend a goal lead and not lose it stupidly

we played terrible football wit Grant in charge.

the reason why we get these crazy goals in our net is because Carvalho is out.

he was the better JT and would have coverd the right center defense position.

i think the goals we conceded were always in the right (at least the goals from Cluj, WHU and the 2nd from Arse)....Riccys place.

TBH Alex is not a good replacement for Riccy at the moment, Ivanovic looked better there !

So, again, we are only 1 point behind, and a Liverpool like that won´t win against Arse (who have good run against big teams ggrrrrrrr)

we have our next game away.even the toffees will get to know Anelkas class.

That by the way is one of Scolaris suceeds - making Anelka a threat again

For all the ranting, tactics, and advice us fans might have...it chages nothing, hence the Frustration.

Agree with Tri Blue about Deco -he's Phils boy, and had two excellent inaugral games, and one since. Gives the ball away 50% of the time.

My tuppence for what it's worth; Deco should be dropped -Drogba and Anelka need to start together. Joe Cole as sub -he can change a game when he comes on. Make more use of the wings -all the way to the byline -its so predictable that Ashley Cole and Boswinga will cut inside/back every time. Get behind the defence. Offer West Ham money to get Clarke back....

There is a lot to be frustrated about. Deco and Ballack not pulling their weight at the moment. We need to stop trying to accomodate certain players. Yesterday we should have played 4-4-2 with Lampard, Mikel, Kalou and Cole in the midfield with Drogba and Anelka upfront.

they haven´t won the league in a million years, and they won´t this year. they are loserpool, fucking liver"overrated"pool.

frustating is how Ballack and Deco getting one shit game after another.

totally agree with Esk

we looked really good in the second half with 4-4-2 ... two strikers like ours.yeah, should win games.

Good shout about players not pulling their weight. Ballack, Deco, nor Lampard should be exempt from being dropped to fight their way back in. Lampards corners -god knows why hes still taking them -are abysmal.

The broader picture has stars doing the pretty football for what they're famous, but with no cohesive end product. We're seeing the winding down now of the Mourinho era, with very little sign of a new way forward...

I agree to a certain extent about missing Riccy and Essien, but the real problem is we're not creating enough chances to score goals. It was 44 minutes yesterday before we eventually got one one target. Thats not on.

Totally agree, even playing a 4-3-3 we have everyone wanting to drop deep. We play 4 central midfielders and 1 winger with a striker all of whom are dropping deep.

For me the basic problem is the same one that Jose suffered with and Grant did, and that is trying to accomodate Mikel, Lampard, Ballack and Deco in the same team, have the guts to leave 1 or more on the bench and give us some thrust upfront.

In my mind given the problems we are having at home we should be playing a 4-4-2 all the time at home now:

..........................Cech.........................

Bosingwa.....Carvalho...Terry...........A.Cole

J.Cole........Lampard......Mikel............Kalou

...................Drogba....Anelka.................

With variations in the playing staff.

That ''Get the Away Fans Out of the Shed Campaign'' seems quite a good idea in hindsight.

Away teams are making a habit now of scoring at that end in front of their mob.

Away fans should be banned altogether, or we should at least be allowed to infiltrate and kick the fuck out of them like the old days.

I'd written about this earlier and I think Scolari's as blind as a bat if he can't see we have to change our formation at home. It's impossible for Anelka to be up front on his own at home when his game relies heavily on his pace - thats not a luxury he's afforded against teams parking the bus. Why we started with Drogba on the bench yesterday is a mystery - Scolari's seen the formation hasn't worked at home all season so why stick with it?

I'd go 4-4-2 at home. Usual back 4 of Bosingwa, Terry, Alex and A Cole because we haven't got a choice with Carvalho out. Mikel in front of the back four in a diamond with Ballack and Lampard either side and Joey sat in behind Anelka and Drogba.

I know Ballack's been a bit off his game lately but I'd still stick with him for now. I wouldn't even consider Malouda and Kalou because theyre bloody useless and as for Deco at home he's a total waste of space, he just doesn't fancy these games where he's hassled a bit and doesn't get as much time and space.

We desperately needed the 4-4-2 from the start yesterday. Drogba is clearly fit enough now to be starting games so he should be playing alongside Anelka at home. Stuff Deco, he's playing poorly at the moment, and it was so annoying to see him stay on the pitch instead of Joe Cole.

Come on Scolari sort it out.

To be honest, methinks we'll be looking for a new manager next summer.
