Because no one can assess his work. Guy jumped in in September, had no squad for weeks during and after the world cup and had only half of the squad available since then. Did Potter even have a single full training week with the whole squad yet?

To say Potter has failed already and shouting for a sack based on the given circumstances is just dubious and populist.

Yes we can't win more than 2 in 11 games because the world cup happened.

As if you need a full squad to avoid domination by Nottingham and Fullham, the excuses some find for this guy is amazing. Diche in his first match, with a shit squad and no transfers already did more than Potter did in 6 months.

We were shit under Tuchel as well, who didnt have so many injuries. We got destroyed by Leeds, we got humiliated by Southampton, were the joke of the month after Zagreb. We still see the shadows of Tuchels summer. Tuchel ruined this club.

And to be fair: the first few weeks under Potter were way better than under Tuchel. 7 wins in his first 10 games. Then came the injuries and the WC.

You really think appointing a random new manager at this moment would make anything better? Delusional. Especially if I hear names like Poch or Enrique, these specialists in failure.

Yes treble winning Enrique is a specialist in failure whereas Graham has achieved it all coming mid table with Brighton and Chelsea. Lay off the drink buddy

This is like Germanys WC win the year before. They won despite Enrique, not bc of him. He had prime Messi and Neymar. We have Havertz and Mount. As if Enrique would know what to do with them after he found out that they cant play tiki taka.

Spains performances under him were very very dull with technically far more gifted players than we have atm.

Also, this guy hasnt trained a club for 6 years now.

This guy had 1 good year as a coach in his entire career, having players like Messi, Neymar, Iniesta, Xavi and Suarez in his team. He never showed that he can make it with younger, rougher players.

He won back to back Spanish leagues so clearly your assessment is wrong. You can point to any manager who achieves at the top level and say it's only because of players X Y and Z.

So did Ernesto Valverde. Maybe we should go for him then. At least this guy hasnt stopped choaching a football club for 6 years now.

Valverde seems to be the better fit.

He'd be better than big Graham probably

I think pep leaves City at the end of the season. Whether he would be open to moving to London remains to be seen. If there is even an inkling of interest, we should move for him. I would much rather a rebuild under pep than GP.

There is no reason to keep a manager with 2 wins in 11 games. By summer, GP will have had almost a year and if we don't get a good run of results and some type of  European football by then, he is gone.

And Klopp is world class and got dominated by Wolves.

I don't think making those comparisons are the best to make your case.

Martin Keown questions decision to leave Benoit Badiashile out of Chelsea’s Champions League squad

Arsenal legend Martin Keown can’t understand why Benoit Badiashile was not included in Chelsea’s Champions League squad.

https://metro.co.uk/2023/02/07/Chelsea-benoit-badiashiles-champions-league-omission-criticised-18239751/

Chelsea FC v Fulham FC - Premier League

Last week, Graham Potter confirmed his 25-man list for the UCL knockout stage, with Chelsea set to take on Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 next Wednesday.

UEFA’s rules meant that only three of the Blues’ eight January signings could be included in the new squad, with Potter electing to choose record signing Enzo Fernandez, and exciting attacking duo Mkyhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix.

Given how Chelsea’s main problem of late has been their lack of goals, this decision is somewhat understandable, but Badiashile’s will also be disappointing given his great form since arriving from Monaco for £34million.

After three games, the centre-back is yet to concede a goal for his new club, helping them pick up five points against Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Fulham.

Discussing Chelsea’s performance in their goalless draw with the Cottagers last Friday, Keown spoke highly of the 21-year-old France international and expressed his confusion at his omission from the Champions League.

‘[Mudryk] wasn’t really in the game. [Noni] Madueke then came on. Lots of flashes, lots of good moments, but [wasn’t] really impacting the game too much,’ Keown said on talkSPORT.

‘The central defender, Badiashile, actually was probably the best player I saw among [Chelsea’s recent] purchases.

‘The central defender that we’ve talked about being such a good player is not even listed in the Champions League group.

‘How does that really work out? Who made that decision?’

The Champions League is the only trophy Chelsea can realistically win this season, having been already knocked out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and with the Blues 10 points off the Premier League top, winning it could be their only route to qualifying for the competition next season.

In Badiashile’s absence, the centre-backs at Potter’s disposal are Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana.

The decision to leave Badiashile out could really come back to haunt the under pressure manager, given that Koulibaly and Fofana have struggled a lot for form and fitness since moving to Stamford Bridge last summer.

The idea is that coaches can come right in and imprint a style of play from the get go, Klopp did this, Tuchel did this, Diche did this.

Potter? 6 months in and there are no attacking drills in training, doesn't even bother parking the bus if he knows he doesn't have the players, even Arteta saw this and changed until he got the players to attack.

Tuchel has nothing to prove, for all we know he lost the dressing room and that's why we went to shit. The idea is big coaches can come in and immediately make an impact and imprint a style of play.

When Lampard got sacked we were all crying how the squad is trash, how the defense is championship level and after Tuchel comes in and in 2-3 games he already makes us very hard to score against.

If your using Arteta to compare he was very bad for like two seasons if I'm not mistaken.

Not the best example to make your case.....
