The Skipper 20,609
Sterling wouldn't be bad here at all, many people forget the kid is only 20 and already one of the best players in the PL. He would grow massively under Jose as well. Hazard - Willian - Sterling is not bad at all.

kellzfresh 7,229
Be nice to renew the English core too - RLC, Cahill, Sterling, Terry, Bamford (?)This is the main reason sterling would be attractive. We had terry, Cole, lamps j.Cole always starting for England but now cahill is the only english starting player in our team. We'll have to fix that soon
CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
Absolutely - Brown too comes to mind, I'd imagine he finds himself in the same situation as Ruben has done this season and stepping up the season after. 6 English players starting for us would be absolutely fantastic. Waterfall 893
I was making the point to Waterfall that for the right money of course Liverpool would sell to Utd. Owners don't give a toss about rivalry between the teams.25mil would be a bargain, look at what 28 mill got Everton in Lukaku...Owners definitely care about rivalries because their customers (fans) do passionately. They won't want to piss off an entire fan base (which Liverpool has globally) to make some easy profit off a transfer. Liverpool fans are already pissed at FSG for not investing. If the first transfer business between the two clubs since 1964 involved sale of their most promising English player, it would be the biggest PR disaster in football and a huge white flag if you've ever seen one. There's a reason why they never did business together for more than 50 years.

Viper22 2,418
Providing the price is right I would be happy to see him join.A little bit worried about the fact that he's seemed a bit lazy at times (both on the pitch and also needing holidays in the middle of the season), his finishing issues and his questionable off field antics but willing to put faith in the fact that Mourinho would be able to bring the best out in him and suppress the unlikable qualities about him.He obviously has talent, is English and should be a reasonable price considering he's out of contract in just over 12 months. So if Mou deems him good enough to sign, then I am happy to put lots of faith in the kid.

He would grow massively under Jose as well.Hazard - Willian - Sterling is not bad at all.it does not matter to people. only the most recent performances do.a 20 year old has had to carry the whole team on his back after pool lost close to 50 odd goals from suarez's departure and sturridge's injury. add to that, he has been played wingback, CAM, ST and has barely had any consistency in his position.all that said, i dont want him here for a massive fees. too much pressure/hype for a young 20 year old. and i cant see pool selling sterling cheaply considering his talent and they somehow still considering us as "rivals"
CHOULO19 24,332
People just want him because he's English, but in reality he's no where near the other options on the market such as Griezeman and Reus. I honestly doubt that there is any sort of solid interest from the club in him. I'd be happy to see him move to City if that means they won't be perusing other options on the market. Waterfall 893
Being English helps, but he's also already a very good PL player at 20. He's at least 4 years younger than Reus and Griezmann who are better at the moment but seem just as hard to buy if not harder (in Reus' case). They are also different types of players - Sterling being a better dribbler than Griezmann while Griezmann is a superior finisher for example. bababoom 4,478
His dribbling, shooting and decision making are all so inconsistent, one day he could look like a mini Hazard the next Cuadrado.

Waterfall 893
His dribbling, shooting and decision making are all so inconsistent, one day he could look like a mini Hazard the next Cuadrado. I think the hope is that with age and some stability at the club, he can find some consistency, but of course you never know with young players. At worst, he and Hazard would form the most fouled duo in the world. JT would score 10+ easy with the amount of free kicks we can get.

Oscar ain't that great despite all that hype. I agreed with CHOULO. Let him go to City. They can spend a lot of money and wages on him leaving them with less money to buy someone else we might want.
