We’ve already got Enzo and Santos, who by the sounds of it will be given a chance here this pre season, coming who are 22 and 19. We need to target one or two midfield players who are in that age bracket of 24-27, with say 100-150 starts as a first team player at a competitive level particularly more than ever now Kante is off and it seems we are willing to sell Kovacic. Not to mention losing Jorginho in January. If Boehly & co’s masterplan is turning us into the most expensive rip off of RB Leipzig then we’ve had it. Not that I expected us to be overly competitive in the next season or two but there seems to be too much focus on the long term. This squad isn’t a million miles away from being in the top 4 if we can cut out some of the stragglers and fine tune it with some ready made players. But it seems to be again, lets gear up towards this 2030 vision. Wouldn’t be surprised if spend £40 or £50m on Lavia and in 2 or 3 years probably go and sign the next 18/19 year old of the same profile or position. Gonna end up with a 25 man squad which the majority will be 18-23 year olds who need to play every week aren’t we? I like your idea of having someone more experienced as DM option next to our young guns. As I have understood it the boehly midfield signings are more similar to Enzo in the sense that they are aspiring playmakers rather than destroyers so the latter would be what we need more of after ngolos and kovas likely departures. Which is why we were after ugarte. So zubimendi from what I have heard does not fit the profile i have already gone on record with K Thuram as my favourite option. But maybe if we consider this a long term project we might be prefer an experienced dm who does not instantly claim being 1st choice there but allows the young ones like santos or casadei to grow. One very cheap, underwhelming but ultimately dependable option we might consider is ndidi who surely can do job if he stays injury free then someone who is severely underrated by almost everyone is Anton Stach from Mainz, one of the main reasons for their stellar season. Top 5 dm in Bundesliga for sure. German DMs are often underrated bc they are more tactical than athletic. Imagine a German prime Matic. Huge physical presence, forever legs that just hook the ball from underneath opponents, crunching slide tackles, surprising agility and dribbling ability for a players of this built. Venomous shot as well, ambipedal at that. Maybe not the most polished player but experienced, very calm , super hard working attitude. Makes you win the tactical battles in midfield and wins back balls anywhere on the pitch. Complements Enzo almost to a t. Vesper 30,272
we just might be stuck with a lot of the dregs OR we are forced to sell them for so little we get into huge FFP shite I cant take watching some of these players run around the pitch for us this next season

Pizy 18,985
I saw something yesterday or the day before about how Liverpool weren’t after Caicedo. And surely Arse can’t afford to drop £100m on Rice and also £80m or whatever on Caicedo? So it’s pretty much just United and maybe Newcastle as potential competition for him, I guess. And I haven’t really seen any links to United. I would certainly hope we are pushing for him as we speak.

Vesper 30,272
the Bundesliga is really haemorrhaging top players and not replacing them Bellingham already out they may be down to these after the window closes assuming no monsters are bought) Bold are the only ones who deffo will still be there (the top 8 are ALL Bayern) it's all pretty cray in order of valuation Jamal Musiala Florian Wirtz (might be sold) Joshua Kimmich Josko Gvardiol (might be sold now, for sure is gone next summer) Matthijs de Ligt Alphonso Davies (might be sold, has bizarrely slumped) Leroy Sané Leon Goretzka Kingsley Coman Randal Kolo Muani (likely sold) Dayot Upamecano (shit IMHO) Serge Gnabry Lucas Hernández (might be sold) Moussa Diaby (might be sold) Sadio Mané (might be sold and is deffo on the downslope) Nico Schlotterbeck Dani Olmo (might be sold) Dominik Szoboszlai (might be sold) Julian Brandt Karim Adeyemi Niklas Süle Gregor Kobel Benjamin Pavard (likely sold) Jeremie Frimpong (might be sold, I rate him) Marcus Thuram (leaving on a free) Evan Ndicka (leaving on a free) Manu Koné (VERY likely sold) Ryan Gravenberch (might be sold) Edmond Tapsoba Daichi Kamada (leaving on a free) Sébastien Haller Youssoufa Moukoko Patrik Schick Giovanni Reyna Mohamed Simakan Noussair Mazraoui Jesper Lindström Konrad Laimer Piero Hincapié (might be sold) Timo Werner
