Looking back at the training content and discipline under Marcello Lippi at Juventus: "The way we were training was a thing to watch and analyse. We didn't have time to rest and we would begin our first training in the day with a 40 minute workout in the gym followed by running sessions, and that was only a warm up. In the afternoon we had a tactical training combined with football playing and the third drill was around 20:00 p.m. containing mostly stretching. So, none of our success happened by an accident, we deserved everything. I think that no club today trains as hard as we did then.

@SachaTavolieri:

Newcastle United has taken advantage on Manchester United for Benjamin Sesko!

NUFC have increased the personal terms offer and received green light from Šeško to proceed on talks with RB Leipzig, now expected to deal around €90M deal on it.

90m euros is insane for him

Price definitely being kept secret for a reason... There's no way we got these £20m/£25m fees that are circulating

Best case £10m-15m base, maybe it goes up to £20m+ if he wins 8 back to back Ballon d'Ors.

The statement from Romano is very key, he stated negotiations are very advanced between us and Leipzig, that's the main thing the club to club talks and now they are very advanced this could be done within the next few days.

Tbf, that’s what he and others have been saying for 2 weeks. “Talks advanced.” The big change now is Xavi taking things into his own hands and sitting out training. He’s desperate to come here.

We have to hope now that things get pushed more strongly from our side and that 1) Xavi skipping training doesn’t piss Leipzig off and 2) Newcastle/Man United bidding for Sesko doesn’t complicate things.

Not overly fussed if we don’t get Simons, although looks like it’ll get done. Not that I’ve watched every RB game, either. Just strikes me as a Sancho, all the ability but slows play down even though he has pace. It’s a shame about Sancho as well, willing to lower his wages to go back to Dortmund but started off on a pedestal in negotiations with us and wouldn’t take £180k a week - Btw nor am I saying he should if he’s on £300k with years to burn. Sancho was finding his place in the team even if he was frustrating at times, most times, he looked to be learning toward the end.
