Tbf, that’s what he and others have been saying for 2 weeks. “Talks advanced.” The big change now is Xavi taking things into his own hands and sitting out training. He’s desperate to come here. We have to hope now that things get pushed more strongly from our side and that 1) Xavi skipping training doesn’t piss Leipzig off and 2) Newcastle/Man United bidding for Sesko doesn’t complicate things. DH1988 1,356 Posted August 2, 2025 Share Posted August 2, 2025 Not overly fussed if we don’t get Simons, although looks like it’ll get done. Not that I’ve watched every RB game, either. Just strikes me as a Sancho, all the ability but slows play down even though he has pace. It’s a shame about Sancho as well, willing to lower his wages to go back to Dortmund but started off on a pedestal in negotiations with us and wouldn’t take £180k a week - Btw nor am I saying he should if he’s on £300k with years to burn.
