✍️️ For me it's this summer:

🔴Huijsen (£50M clause valid from summer 2025.
He currently earns £30,000 per week contract until 2030)

🟠Delap (£40M clause if Ipswich Town are relegated. He currently earns £20,000 per week contract until 2029)

🟣Murillo (I think we could get him for £55-65M. He currently earns £40,000 per week contract until 2029)

🟢Additionally Santos, Petrovic, Essugo, M.Sarr, Estevao, Paez (loaned to Strassbourg) all coming back for the 25/26 squad

💪Chelsea also want a new winger and full-back.

🔥And wants to get rid of a lot of players.

Please no to Sesko and David. Both bang average.

Delap is the play.

J David is NOT 'bang average'

he just turned 25yo two and a half months ago

and already has 237 total topflight goals produced for club and country

176 goals, 61 assists

still cant believe we didnt sign mameradashvili last summer and instead have 4 average keepers at best.

Run by complete morons, could've paid less for Mamadarshvili than those 4 combined and have a better goalkeeper than all of them.

I also think part of the blame lies on Maresca with his dumbass passing as a criteria for selecting a goalkeeper which made the morons searching for goalkeepers who can pass instead of focusing on what a goalkeepers main role should be.

counting inflation adjusted prices for Kepa and the others

we have now spent £217m on keepers in April 2025 quid, starting with Kepa and going onward

insanity

and unless Penders comes good

have fuckall to show for it (maybe maybe Petro also comes good, at least as a back-up)

and that figure doesnt even count the 10s of millions paid out in salaries

I didn't want Kepa either but I'm gonna give them a pass there because Courtois fucked us and Kepa was highly rated at the time but Sanchez and Filip are a disgrace of scouting, anyone could've seen they are crap before we even got them as for Petrovic and Penders simply unnecessary talents when you had Mamadarshvili available and easy pick up.

because Courtois fucked us

no

that was basically all on us

we stupidly loaned him three staright years to Atletico

so he put down roots in Madrid

and then

the year before his transfer year

Marina foolishly said he would renew with us, so we turned down insane (think it was like £90m or so) money from Real that window, so we were forced to sell him for shit money the next summer

that lead to us meeting Oblak's crazy 90m plus release clause, but he told us to sod off, so we panic-bought shit Kepa

So many decent keepers have been available since Courtois left, we've briefly had an in form Mendy thanks to Cech's recommendation, but otherwise its basically all been dross. I can barely even remember the relaxed feeling you have when you know you will very likely only concede goals that are unstoppable shots.

Quite remarkable how bad we are as a club at picking them. And at overspending on the ones we do sign, fighting absolutely no one for their overpriced signatures, but paying top dollar anyway.

disasterclass buy

I said it from day one

You could add Nkunku & most likely Lavia to that list as well. Around £200m down the drain.

We've gone after keepers that are quite young or lack serious experience (Kepa, Petrovic, Jorgensen, etc). It's just one position that you rarely see players in their teens thrive in. Donnarumma is the only one that comes to mind in recent years.

If Thibo had come straight from Genk into our team, he probably would have never been given a chance.

most shocking of all the perma injured

NO idea how or why

insanely frustrating

It's like they didn't want to accept defeat after Southampton rejected our initial approach weeks after they signed him. There's no reasonable explanation behind most of the awful moves we've made since the new ownership arrived.

I meant his injury record

I can see why we bought him

Chelsea Football Club has today released the following update regarding Wesley Fofana…

The club can confirm that defender Wesley Fofana has today undergone successful hamstring surgery.

Wesley was assessed by specialists this week after the 24-year-old suffered an injury of the muscle. Following that assessment, it was concluded that an operation would be required.
