We’ve left it so incredibly late though that there’s surely not a chance in hell any of those other strikers are available because they wouldn’t be able to be replaced. Gyokeres has a release clause that would in theory make him the easiest to sign but could we actually convince him to come here right now midseason? He’ll likely have his pick of a handful of top clubs in the summer and the UCL scenarios will be set then. Ipswich selling Delap with a day or two left seems impossible and Sesko, much like Gyokeres, will have lots of top teams after him in the summer so would probably want to wait. mkh 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

One of multiple clubs with interest in signing him before the deadline, unclear what Chelsea’s position is but they have been open to keeping him around.
