We got a Striker who looks class and also left a spot open for an academy player to come in when ready. We got the world's best anchor who will sit in front of our porous back for and also distribute the ball quickly to our attack minded players. We brought in(back) a ball playing CB who for my money is better than any we've been linked with not named Bonucci. Should also point out it was for a fraction of the price we would've paid for Koulibaly(untested and 65m). He will make mistakes but all defenders do, its just how the game is played now. What he brings is pace and a true libero who is a leader. We got a FB who looks like he can play football and make accurate left footed crosses. This also makes Ivanovic available to play CB where he should be anyways since he no longer possesses enough pace to get up and down the pitch. There were a lot of people expecting this window to mirror last years with what they called "panic buys" Well if we panicked and were able to secure Luiz and Alonso instead of Koulibaly and Rodriguez then clearly our state of "panic" is fine. We've added some nice pieces without breaking the bank and could very well go back in the window in January and strengthen even further. Zouma coming back is like another new CB signing. We now have the Possibility of trying 3 at the back and have good options at each position. Top four is the goal and conte is the godfather! The greedy side of me wishes that we had brought in a B2B midfielder as well. But, we brought in 5 players. A 3rd choice keeper who we'll probably never see, but needed. A young backup striker who's only a backup because we play 1 up top, who has been electric off the bench. Makelele 2.0. A CB who's composure on the ball is fantastic, and pushed for the move here. A FB we desperately needed, even if it's for depth. Overall, pretty good. At least 2, maybe 3 players right in to the starting XI. Kept all of our key players too.
