Board signings vs manager's signings? Hm... How does that work?

Manager says "I want Alex Sandro" . Board asks for the price. Club says 50 mil. Board answers to manager: "No. Too expensive.

Manager says : I want Alaba". Board answers: No, 40 mil. Too expensive. We have 20 mil to spend. Zappacosta is affordable  for that price range. Or he. Or he. Or he. Who do you prefer from that price range?

Manager says: "Zappacosta."  You see, it's his signing.

Club whose managers last less than 18 months need excellent sporting director. But if you believe they have final word in 115 mil eura + 85 mill pounds deal. I don't.

Had they told Tuchel no pressure, just go trough next season to asses team and we will make some decisions later, things would maybe have been different. And we would have around 200 mil extra  to spend next summer.
