We need a new version of this thread!

Especially because it looks like it's shaping up to be a hit or miss transfer window...SO far.

The only thing that's been accomplished is the loss of Gilmour and Giroud. And no certainty on reinforcements.

Nobody is stopping you from creating one.

I see many of you want top 4 finish and 80-85 points.

But looking at City and Liverpool I think 85 points can get you a title this season.

I was right about this. City won title with 86 points. But for next season my prediction is way higher.

Two rivals will go over 90 points.

Japan withdraws as host of 2021 Club World Cup due to COVID-19

Japan has withdrawn as the host for the 2021 Club World Cup due to COVID-19 concerns. The tournament, which will feature Champions League winners Chelsea, is scheduled to take place in December. The decision comes after the Japanese government extended emergency COVID-19 restrictions in Tokyo and other regions until the end of this month.

In a statement, world governing body FIFA said: “FIFA can confirm that it has been informed today by the JFA that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and hosting situation in the country, they are no longer in a position to host the FIFA Club World Cup 2021.” The tournament is also due to feature Egyptian side Al Ahly and Auckland City of New Zealand. Four more teams are yet to qualify, including the 2021 Copa Libertadores winners. Bayern Munich won the 2020 Club World Cup, beating Tigres UANL 1-0 in the final in Qatar.

At least we do not need to travel to japan now. I fully trust Fifa to host it an an even more remote location like Hawaii or Tasmania but the more likely solution is that some of their dictator buddies comes to the rescue. It's between the combat smurph, the bosporus maniac and the middle east headchoppers now.

Is there going to be a 2021/22 version of this thread?

Seeing how the conversation has flowed right into the next season, I just updated the title.

There is already another one.
