Ridiculous amount of money for him, the market has gone bonkers.

if clubs pay 30 m for negredo and soldado, than 40 m für higuain is really a good deal, who is miles ahead of the aforementioned

Regardless, 37+3 for Gonzalo Higuain is fucking ridiculous, doesn't matter what spin you put on it.

City have just spunked far too much on a striker that is decent at best in Negredo, simple as. Whilst Higuain is better, he isn't 37+3 better, not a chance.

So basically Benitez used all the Cavani money and more on three Real Madrid rejects Higuain, Albiol and Callejon? I'm so glad we didn't have to go through a summer transfer window with that guy in charge of the transfers.

"Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho 'lines up £48 million bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain'

The Special One previously worked with the Argentine hotspot when they were both at Real Madrid

Star turn: Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain

Jose Mourinho is reportedly lining up a £48 million bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.

The Chelsea boss is understood to want to sign the Argentine hotshot - and, according to The Sun, the Italians are ready to sell.

Former Arsenal target Higuain, 26, played under the Special One at his former club Real Madrid.

Napoli signed Higuain from Real only last summer for £34.5m.

But they are now said to be considering doing business as it would give them a quick £13.5m profit." (Source: Mirror)

This rumor was supposedly started by TheSun but theyre website is weird now.... <_<

If this bid was placed, It just goes to show how incontent Jose is with his strikers and how he must have changed his mind from when he said he wasnt looking to buy a striker in January

Haha. Next joke.

Who honestly writes these kind of rumors? Not even an ounce of believability.

Not only are we gonna pay nearly 50 MILLION POUNDS for a player worth half that but they actually think Rafa Benitez is gonna help Chelsea and Jose out? Come on!

Not Benetiz's decision. Much of Napoli is carefully run and controlled by De Laurenitiis. If he believes that profit made from this sale is more beneficial to the team then I believe he would gladly do it. De Laurenitiis is an incredibley shrewd and clever business and club owner. Besides it's not like Napoli is severly lacking in firepower as of right now.
