If we are serious about getting a top class striker this window, pick up the phone and have a word with PSG about Ibra. :)

It's not like they don't have another world class striker to replace him.

Easy to phase him out because of his age when Lukaku comes back. Lukaku- Ibra and Torres, maybe, next season( in that order) i

Perfect option in this window.

I don't watch Spanish football, so I end up only watching Barca and Real when they play in the CL.

I have to say I've never seen anything remotely good enough from Higuain. He's nowhere near Aguero's level, which is the level of striker we need.

I don't think a good striker will help us ATM - we already have good strikers in the squad. What we need is a top striker and Higuain ain't it.

@primax79 nobody would pay 70 m for higuain. napoli were even dumb to pay 40 m for him.

I wrote that he is not on the market, and only an over evaluation can move him

Should have bought him in the summer, 9 league goals in 16 appearances, decent strike rate 1 in 2 basically similar to his Madrid record which was something like 100 odd goals in 200 odd games.

When it was announced he would leave Real I wanted us to get him, everyone called him a poacher, there is much much more to his game sure hes not Suarez or Aguero but hes a hard working forward, who is very clinical and is sufficiently capable of linking play like he does with Callejon, Hamsik and Insigne/Mertens. 50M though? Na not worth that. Could have gotten him for 30 odd M in the summer, if Jose really wanted him he'd have got him.

Hows he doing at Napoli?

9 goals in 16 matches in serie A,

4 goals in 5 matches in champions,

6 or 7 assists

same stats as cavani, but he plays more for the team (to be onest, cavani was a better defender)

when he arrived he was not at 100%, now he is becoming fantastic

Serie A side Napoli may struggle to hang on to some of their star players should they fail to beat Lazio on the last weekend of the season.

On Sunday, the Partenopei host Stefano Pioli’s side in what has effectively become a Champions League playoff with an Azzurri victory ensuring them third place in the league and entry into Europe’s premier cup competition. Any other result would hand that spot to the Biancocelesti, leaving Napoli to play the Europa League next season.

According to Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno, the futures of Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon may now hinge on the San Paolo outfit finishing in the top three, with the report suggesting both players will look to move on should Napoli fail to win at the weekend.

Higuain has many suitors, especially in the English Premier League with Arsenal, Manchester United andChelsea all showing an interest, whilst Spaniard Callejon would also not have a problem finding a new club should he decide on a change of scenery.
