There is a reason why I'm not present in this thread when we were winning a lot of games in a row. Jorginho is one of the most overrated footballers in Europe, he has clear weaknesses that someone at the top level just shouldn't have.

chaotic games where the opposition presses with mere moderate intensity are always the abslute antidote to Jorginho no matter the actual quality of opposition. He just crumbles. Never liked his limitations andifwe continue to roll with him he will get exposed again and again. Not everything was hisfault yesterday and yet he heavily relies on the players alongside him being sharp and when they are not he really is useless.

It is a shame people can’t let go of their agenda, he has been playing some fine football since Tuchel took over. Against top competitions too.

I still do not like the type of player he represents but he surprised me with how he handled himself vs City of all teams. Was a great, composed performance. Did not get overrun, the opposite in fact.

He was horrific with Mount as his pivot partner. He destroyed our entire speed and rhythm.

just after i praised him for his city performance he returns to being his usal self. so fed up with this. the team really needed a leader yesterday and all we got was jorginho.

Kovacic and Kante make him look better. I thought it was going to be a disaster when line-ups came out, 'cause Jorginho needs someone defensively solid next to him... Mount is not it, he's a final 3rd player not last 3rd. I think Tuchel underestimated Brighton by exposing midfield like that.

We desperately need a 4th CMF come next season, if Kovacic and Kante are out we're fucked. Gilmour could become that player, but he seriously needs to bulk up if he is to have any chance... too short and skinny to be a regular EPL CMF atm.

But we need creativity ala Fabregas. 

Who can we get that would do that? 

I thought it would be Gilmour but he is not getting any chance. So we need that creativity in that area.

People keep saying we need a Fabregas but they need to move on from it. There is unfortunately only one Fabregas.

I mean seriously, pick me out a player of that style that is playing today? There isn’t a like for like out there and there probably wont ever be either because midfielders are now too safe as they don’t want to lose the ball or don’t possess the same quality in the final third, in and around the box as well as being a threat from deeper.

Got the booking and maybe first half there were wee moments but thought majority of his game was a top performance.

Kante gets a lot of the credit tonight but don’t forget that Jorginho played very well tonight, got a game high 6 interceptions, won 2 tackles, made 1 clearance.

Also played 4 long balls whicu all 4 were accurate and 1 through ball which again was accurate through balls on top of his usual assured and good use of possession rarely misplacing passes. 

Was booked for how ever long also. He showed real discipline and also leadership throughout.

Think I'd play him over kovacic in the final
