the wes 7,212
The Evening Standard have put a price on Chelsea’s desire to retain Callum Hudson-Odoi. The 18-year-old winger is out of contract at the end of next season. Hudson-Odoi has yet to start a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge. Almost amazingly, that’s after Hudson-Odoi received his first start for England during the international break. According to reporter Simon Johnson, Chelsea are willing to pay the teenager more than five million pounds a year:

Vesper 30,195
Chelsea will lose Callum Hudson-Odoi unless they talk football, not finance https://theprideoflondon.com/2019/03/28/chelsea-callum-hudson-odoi-do-not-understand/ Despite no longer being the most freely-spending team in the Premier League, Chelsea still think they can buy their way out of trouble. With a team of finance people making decisions undiluted by a footballing mind, they think £100,000 a week will satisfy Callum Hudson-Odoi. When all you have is a front office and a banker in the technical area, every problem looks like a wire transfer waiting to happen. Callum Hudson-Odoi’s representatives could not possibly be more clear about what the young Englishman wants the most at this stage of his career: regular starting minutes in a top division club competing for multiple trophies. A No. 10 jersey, if one became available at such a club, would signal the commitment he is looking for. Bayern Munich understand this. They have football minds to spare at every level of that club. Chelsea do not know what to make of this. They have business people who think a check can solve most problems, and a bigger check can solve the rest. The Evening Standard reports Chelsea have raised their offer to £100,000 a week, up from the £85,000 a week they offered Hudson-Odoi in January at the peak of Bayern’s interest. Nothing indicates Hudson-Odoi will be any more interested in the extra £15,000 a week than he was in the first £85,000, as it does not address his actual desires. snip Fernando, Superblue, Laylabelle and 1 other
Vesper 30,195
“He should be given an opportunity” – Chelsea legend tells Sarri to give Hudson-Odoi start ahead of Willian and Pedro https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/03/given-opportunity-chelsea-legend-tells-sarri-give-hudson-odoi-start-ahead-willian-pedro/ Eden Hazard is the only Chelsea forward deserving of a place more than Callum Hudson-Odoi, and that’s according to club legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The former Blues striker is convinced Willian and Pedro have not done enough this season to continuously warrant a place in the starting 11 ahead of Callum Hudson-Odoi. The youngster has been hugely impressive this campaign, showing strong hints that he is the man to trust on the wings. Sarri, however, has turned a blind eye to his talents. snip Fernando and Bosnian Blue

Without football people in high positions in the club, the structure and identity is lacking. And without a director of football in place there is no plan. I've said it multiple times, if CHO plays regularly he'll sign a new contract. I'm very confident of that and I think his preference at present would be to play for a one of the biggest clubs in England who he has come up through their youth system as opposed to moving abroad to find regular football. He will not be the only one too. City are finding the same problem now with their youth players. If there is no pathway, they're not afraid to move elsewhere. Laylabelle 9,535
Agree!!! Money talks but so does having the opportunity to play!!! If that's the case that's the right attitude for him to have. And thing is we all know if he does go he'll be at a rival club down the line.. Just cause.
