Mystery solved, eh?

I'm sure he hasn't seen enough to judge him properly because if he had, he wouldn't think he's anywhere near great. Most PSG fans I know don't rate him. but somehow fans of other teams think he's a very good player. Probably because of the odd goal here and there. I think it's a bit similar to the situation with Marcos Alonso. Chelsea fans know he's only decent and should be upgraded, but the rest of the football community view him as one of the best left backs in the PL.

Sthe meetings in London between the agents of Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri and the intermediaries to find all the agreements involving Romeand Chelsea continued todayin a grueling negotiation. We proceed in an attempt to close the operation, but today's day was still nothing decisive, while tomorrow may be the day from inside or outside. In fact, the Chelsea will not wait indefinitely that the Blues have also moved to Layvin Kurzawa of the PSG for the role of left-back, in addition to having then borrowed Olivier Giroud all'Arsenal, who would have said no to this transfer formula. Chelsea, Rome, agents and intermediaries, however, still work to clear the distances on the demands of Edin Dzeko and on demand-offer between the two clubs. For a non-stop negotiation, which will see tomorrow the possible decisive day.

From DiMarzio's website

We've gone from Thursday to Friday being the decisive day in the negotiations.

With the money we splashed out on Zappacosta, Drinkwater and Palmieri (if the deal goes through) we could have easily bought Alex Sandro. Zappacosta is average, Emerson isn´t much better and Drinkwater is actually a decent player, but injury prone and Conte also doesn´t trust him that much for some reason. Alex Sandro is great player and would elevate our game immediately. Just think how great he could link up with Hazard on the left. He is also better than Alonso defensively.

City bought some great, athletic wingbacks and this upped their game this season.

It's easy to say that, but Juventus were not willing to let go of Sandro. He just came off a great season where he was one of their best players. Nobody knew he would have a sub-par season like this one. City bought Mendy who has missed half the season and is still unproven, and Danilo is average. Walker is a good wingback, but I don't believe he was worth the money City paid for him. I think Zappacosta has actually looked good when he's played, barring the initial couple of appearances.

Emerson at Chelsea, we're here. The agreement for the left-back is closer and closer to the figure of 20 million euros plus 6 bonus. Operation that could thus be defined, bringing the Italo-Brazilian to the court of Antonio Conte as early as tomorrow if all the pieces of the puzzle were to get stuck..... Di Marzio
