Nothing. Didn't say break his leg, but if managers don't do it, let nature do it. If he stays a few weeks out he won't come back. So let me rephrase for the sensitive.

For the love of Jesus let him have a muscular problem and be out.

It's not about being sensitive or tough. You know exactly what you meant, don't try to find a way out of it now.

Disliking a player is okay, I also don't like how Ivanovic plays and I think he should be nowhere near the first team. But that's when it ends. Hoping he gets injured, breaks his leg or threatening his family or anything similar is what a scum person would do. Hiding behind Jesus doesn't change this either. It seems like you have no clue about what Jesus preached.

This is a game we would've lost last term.  At best scraped one point out of the game.  Still buzzing about the win.

Pedro was abysmal today.  And Oscar returned to form of course, after what I thought was a really strong opening match.  Guy was like a ghost out there today.

Happy for Cesc to come on and have a huge impact in the result.

3pts in the bag!

Want to have a laugh, go to the Sky Sports match report page. Other than the laugh about Costa dive with no mention of Watford handball, look at the player ratings. Chelsea with four players rated the best as a "7": Terry, Hazard, Costa and, wait for it........Ivanovic.

Worst Chelsea player in the match with only "4" rating you ask? Cesc of course.

One thing I am sure of is that Conte has not found the ideal starting line-up yet and I could not be more happier because it is still early in the season and he has plenty of time to fix it. I am glad that although Chelsea has not played the best football so far, we've managed to get two wins and most importantly I hope Conte has figured out that he still needs to makes changes before finding the ideal line-up. Starting with Oscar in place of Cesc on the bench. Oscar, just like Coutinho and the entire Liverpool FC fan base, cannot be trusted and taken serious because it's always the same story. Over and over again, it's in their DNA, total failures. Oscar, one football match he is playing decent, the next 10 he is gash. Coutinho, scores a scream, the next three weeks he is trash. Liverpool FC score 4 at the Emirates, then get battered by Burnley.

Team is solid overall - West Ham have scored with their only shot on target, and today Watford have had only two shots, one of which was the goal. But midfield is a big problem because there is no creativity there and must be reshaped IMO. As most of the guys on here said already, a midfield of Nainggolan (or another similar, dynamic b2b midfielder), Kante and Fabregas would be perfect. But it's still early days and Conte is not stupid, these two matches must have shown him that there is certain players that do not deserve to play from the start. There is no wonder for me that both games had been won after Oscar was subbed off.

One month and a few days into Conte's new life at Chelsea, but things are looking decent so far for me. We will be there with the right players no doubt. The attitude is there, the fight, the will, the manager who is the copy of a Chelsea fan on the touchline. Up the Chels!!!

Words right from my mouth, kudos mate. I also think he is still in the process of figuring out our best lineup, and 2 wins out of 2 during this process is a big big bonus. Hopefully we can see a much better, more stable and more cohesive team in the very near future with the potential new signings if there's any.

honey, I'm not trying anything. I want him out of the team, I'm not denying it, whether someone injures him, he injures himself, I don't care, I really wish someone would see the light and drop him, but it looks like only this would take him away as we are not selling and no matter who the manager is, they won't take him out.

You have your views, great, I have mine. That's it. I'd rather him to be injured than playing, this is a sport, nothing else. He will still get his pay, he has a contract, he has a lot of money and titles and honors with Chelsea, but he's a huge detractor in the team. A few weeks in the bench won't kill him. If someone actually had balls, he would already be there, injury or not. I'll ignore the family comment because that's too ignorant to comment on. Maybe

I have my strong opinion about how hard I want him out of the team, you're freaking out for nothing... so, what's new?

Jesus has nothing to do with that, because that's a hyperbole. I child would have understood that

As for my personal religions views, thanks for worrying, but Jesus has been clear only HE is going to judge people, so  you have no power to say how much I know or not about his teachings. A tit for tat, I'm wishing the bad to someone  and you're judging another person. It just shows the obvious, all people need mercy because they can't be good on themselves no matter what.

Now, can someone, somehow get Ivanovic out of the team?

Just finished watching a replay of the match.

And god were we awful. 1st half must have been some of the most boring football I've seen. Reminded me of a lot of the Euros. Second half wasn't that much of a difference, until batman and magic fabregas came in. I won0't mind having to sufferen until the dying minutes of a game if we get the wins, but please, don't play like in the first half ever again.

Also, would somebody please tell Conte that Ivanovic has to be dropped. Vice-captain or not, he is too fucking awful. Pedro was mostly silent, and Oscar was okay-ish IMO. Matic was between average and bad.

Also someone needs to teach Costa some technique. He saved our asses, but that's it.

Conte's passion is contagious, and I like that. Also why no Cuadrado over Pedro?

COME ON BLUES!

The fuck are you on about? Seriously can't you read between the lines? Not everything is said in such a literal way as you believe it is.

Kante shouldn't be a holding midfielder. He did ok there but looks so much better when he has freedom of the entire pitch to play as a box to box. Let Matic sit instead and play Kante as a box to box.

Lack of a specialist DM is the problem though. Under Conte everyone's a CM now lol.

That's a tongue in cheek jibe about what we really mean when we use CM, DM, B2B etc. End of the day our midfield of Oscar - Matic and Kante seems to be in an interchanging midfield trio. Sure Kante does seem the furthest behind with the defence but they both in particular juggle who stays and who goes forward whatnot. Oscar will forever chase shadows, but that's the work Conte wants from him so meh.

What I like about Kante is his distribution on the ball, something we lack in not having a suitable replacement for Cesc that fits Conte's profile. That's why I really think Cesc needs to come back into the team if we are to score goals such as today. But it's difficult to see where he features in the starting XI. You won't get the defensive work of Oscar coming from Cesc and it's arguable that leaves us static in midfield. If Matic and Kante remind deep leaving Fabregas advanced then inevitably the game will pass him by with little to no contribution.

I liked 4-4-2 (4-2-4) better than 4-3-3 :) I think Costa would work perfectly with anther striker like Batshuayi alongside, because Belgian is a classic poacher and Costa is more a false nine type of striker ;) I prefer Moses as the right wing so far because he likes to cut inside. Willian likes back passes too much :(

The dream

Deary me, that team is wrong on so many levels. A right footed player being our only source of width on the left side? Terry in a 3 at the back formation? Fabregas and Hazard both in a midfield 3?

Our squad is far away from being able to form a competent 3 at the back formation. We need at leastChristensen and a new CB, one more midfielder, and a left wing back for that to happen. Dont think Hazard would fit anywhere in Conte's 3 at the back formation. If he leaves at the end of the season and Christensen comes back maybe the pieces join together for Conte to finally use his favorite formation.
