Slam Dunk 1,442
After this, I have honestly given up hope for English football. The FA are a shambles. Give the armband to Parker or Hart, Fabio, but there's only one England Captain.

Kieran. 6,317
Barton:"Do I think hes a racist? No. I think hes said something really stupid in the heat of battle/argument.What is that moron doing? This is illegal.
BlueLion. 21,491
Captain, Leader, Legend.Racist? I don't think so. I think he's said something in the heat of the moment that is racist by nature, but does not reflect the man himself. Either way he should hold his hands up and let this blow over, because otherwise it is going to undermine our attempts at salvaging something (ie the FA Cup) from this car-crash of a season. warnie_666 1,081
I just hope he retires and when proven NOT GUILTY. He shows two fingers up to the media and FA who would want him back as England has no "LEADERS"
Amblève. 4,995
Oh captain, my captain! Please retire, the FA hasn't deserved such a player like you!

CHOULO19 24,332
If he retires the Media will launch an attack saying he turned his back on his country.Good, more goals for Chelsea . Besides if he does go the campaign would be under the tittle "Terry's poisonous presence in the dressing room" and how he dragged his personal problems into the national team and he is to blame for England under-acheiving once again bla bla bla.... Amblève. 4,995
If he retires the Media will launch an attack saying he turned his back on his country.JT will lose anyway, doesn't matter what he does next. He could still remain in the England squad but "fans" will be calling him a mofo etc. because he, as a "racist", still plays for England. And if he retires people will call him a mofo for letting down his country. He really has to consider what for he wants to be insulted and blamed. ulsterchelsea 3,221
What did he say/tweet? In fairness he said that what he didnt think JT was a racist rather he just said something stupid in the heat of battle but as is Bartons nature he had to keep going and going about all sorts. Point is tho he said that everyone knows JT is guilty and you can see what he says which isnt on.
ulsterchelsea 3,221
StanCollymore Stan Collymore If I were in JT position,I would look for any high profile person saying "guilty",and suggest the possibility of not having a fair trial.21 hours ago in reply to ↑@Joey7BartonJoseph Barton @StanCollymore that would be the low. Not having the b*llocks to take responsibility for your actions? I'd rather be a man and go to jail

Beirut_Blues 306
He should retire...he will be massacred by the media either way, but the "fans" will know his worth. I cant name a player as committed as him (england or chelsea) so wats the point of continuing to represent england if hes constantly abused... Fukk em all theyre not worth it it.No Terry and no Rooney i think the FA should take the blame when the team fukks up at euro...im sure Capello will have something to say to the FA when his team fukks up.. He should choose his captain, or maybe David Bernstein should manage the team if he and his board r so convinced theyre doin the right thing. manpe 10,861
I always thought in order to succeed in football you need some intelligence... but looking at players like Rio and Barton, I fail to see it. They just can't keep their mouth shut about things that don't concern them, that's probably why Barton is such a dickhead not only on the pitch but off as well. ulsterchelsea 3,221
Joseph Barton We all know what was said. Its there on TV for all to see. Do I think hes a racist? Correct, Rio irks me even more than barton to be honest. I laughed when he was talking today about thinking he had been fooled!
