Cheers. If that is true, then it makes all the more baffling that the club wants to extend Terry's contract and not Cole's and even Lampard possibly. Ridiculous!! xPetrCechx and Miracle

True, both are just as important as JT. They showed that against Leeds !Guess we don't have to worry about the captain armband for a while now. Cheers. If that is true, then it makes all the more baffling that the club wants to extend Terry's contract and not Cole's and even Lampard possibly. Ridiculous!!It is obviously because of his leadership ,,,I expect him still to have a major effect even when not playing Kieran.

zolayes 14,489
Lamps too... I think JT is a much bigger influence than Frank . I am not talking about who is most deserving of a contract extension merely giving an opinionon the speculation . Personally I would offer one year rolling deals to Ashley and Frank and two years to John Blue Armour and xPetrCechx

Jase 43,479
After the rubbish news on Lampard in The Sun, here's a BS one from Daily Star about Terry...[http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/289810/John-Terry-on-his-way-out-of-Chelsea/JOHN TERRY will not be offered a new contract by angry Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. The Blues skipper is set to become the latest player to feel the wrath of the Russian billionaire, who has still not forgiven him, Frank Lampard and former star Didier Drogba for failing to back ex-boss Andre Villas-Boas.Villas-Boas was one of the few managers Abramovich took a leading personal role in recruiting before the start of last season. But after failing to win over the big names at the club, the Portuguese coach was sacked in March and has since taken charge at Tottenham.Abramovich visited the club’s training ground at the time to blast his players for failing to get behind Villas-Boas, an outburst peppered with four-letter words.Champions League hero Drogba was the first major player to leave in the summer after being offered an unattractive one-year deal. The club have also snubbed Lampard by refusing to open contract talks, despite his current deal running out at the end of the season.Terry’s current contract runs until the end of the next season, and despite the club backing him all the way through his race-row trial and subsequent ban from the FA for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, Starsport understands Abramovich is reluctant to offer him a new deal.Terry’s advisers tested the water recently about opening talks in the new year. But it is understood they will snubbed by Chelsea’s hierarchy on the orders of Abramovich, who is determined to lower the average age of the squad and remove those who are seen to hold too much influence.Terry is currently out with a knee injury. England star Ashley Cole, who, in contrast, is not seen as an outspoken figure at the club, has been offered a new 12-month-deal, but at significantly reduced wages. He has rejected it and talks have broken down, with the England left-back set to join French giants PSG in the summer.Today could also be a key moment in the future of Lampard. Fellow midfi elder John Obi Mikel is available for the trip to Norwich after completing his three-match suspension for threatening referee Mark Clattenburg.Lampard, 34, is keen to see if Rafa Benitez will continue with him in midfield or bring Mikel straight back, even though he is joining up with Nigeria for the African Nations Cup.A snub for the Carrow Road game will see him press to leave on a free in January. LA Galaxy want Lampard to replace David Beckham, while his uncle Harry Redknapp is keen to take him to QPR.

Hutcho 8,443
I'd give JT a 2 year extention, taking him to the end of 2014/2015 season then re-evaulate. Also give lamps a new deal and a cole a 2/3 year deal. Rambo and Bosnian Blue
