The Conte Thread

There's no such thing as loyalty in football and don't forget he's not here because he loves the club despite his wild celebrations. whatever happens I'll thank him for restoring our pride after the disaster of Mourinho's final year but the club will move on.

also can we please stop blaming Emenalo for everything? Abramovich is in charge of the club and he knows more than anyone how important having a good manager is. I seriously doubt he'd let some so called "power struggle" to make us lose probably the best manager in the world right now.

True but it would really hurt as a fan if he suddenly leaves us in the summer for Inter. IF he truly is homesick or anything, I cannot blame him for returning to Italy, but he looks like the perfect manager to stay for the long term...but like I said he terminated his contract with Juve out of the blue in 2014 so you never know with Conte. People that know him well also say he's not the type of guy who stays for a long period at a club.

Ah who knows. This whole Conte to Inter thing is pure speculation.

I've known birds who have had longer periods than some managers have held jobs!

We need him to stay long enough to instill a footballing charachter into us that works for us. Give us the spine and main trunk of players to work that formation so WHEN/IF he does leave we bring in a manager capable to carry our character on instead of changing the whole squad to fit him.

Conte is no Bielsa luckily. We'll see. I doubt he'll leave us this summer but I also don't think he's going to stick around for, lets's say, 4 more years.

Even though I hope so as I absolutely love the man.

Agree. I think three years would be perfect and as a juve legend I'm not even sure why he would go there. I also don't buy that he misses Italy. The country is literally a few hours from here and he can and does go there a few times a week. It's not like he's on the other side of the world.

anyway fingers crossed it's all rubbish.

Whys that?

If we got a manager who

1. Gets results the majority of the time

2. Has to go out n buy some new silver polish for a cup now n then

3. Who Roman gets on with

4. The fans love

5. Who might just actually get interested in the development and future of us

Thats the perfect scenario we all hope shirley.

Thankfully the fall of Barca took Tiki Taka along with it. Which means Roman will stop trying to make us play that way. Our identity is, and should always be Great defense and good past paced counters. That's who we are. The sooner we accept that, the easier it'll be to identify targets (both coaches and players) in the future. This will also allow us to have less transition years.

Obviously I want him to stay forever but if there's some truth that he wants to leave then my point Is that three years would be perfect for him to achieve what he wants before leaving comparing to just one year.

Well we are all just speculating on speculations and it hurt me head enough in the transfer window so I'll just cross me fingers and offer to kiss his ringpiece if he stays!

Chelsea confident Antonio Conte will not be tempted by Inter Milan millions with his family ready for London move

  • Reports in Italy suggested Inter Milan are keen on Chelsea boss Antonio Conte
  • Chelsea are unworried with Conte's family set to move to London this summer
  • Premier League-leading manager is on good terms with Roman Abramovich

Fuck off Inter, we will not be bullied by some inferior team in an inferior league. He is under contract, we will throw him to coach the reserves if need be but Conte stays I am more than sure.

RAWK today -  "I think tactics wise, Klopp is up there at the top. If you think of intelligent managers and coaches, he and possibly Pep are the two who are at different levels to others, at least in premier league."

I am all for different opinions, but that is just deluded.
