We all know there is one big reason why people hate Emenalo: he went to tv and talked about José getting sacked and named him "the individual". That was way too much for some people who see José as some kind of football god.

That was pretty funny I must admit. And the outrage by some made it even more hilarious.

Ah never a dull moment in our club. ?

Nah, rightly or wrongly, the reason people dislike the guy is because he personifies the seemingly unaccountable nature of every major club employee above the manager.

I know it's fun for posters on here to be reductive and act like he's the whipping boy post José but the reality is that this is not the first time the guy's role has been questioned. I bet people sporting his avatar don't really know what he does. I bet they aren't even interested and are just being contrarian.

If Gucci don't make a sale in 10 years, you look at the board and CEO, not the people making the actual products with their actual hands.

If we haven't had stability for a decade, you can't *not* point fingers at the board. Ivanovic didn't start this shaky period. Hazard didn't. Mourinho didn't. Shakiness is consistent with Chelsea and the only thing consistent with Chelsea is the board & Terry. I know Terry isn't causing all of these awful transfer dealings, and i know it's not him pressuring managers into picking the same players week in week out.

I know this is old but your whole rant is based on the fact that Emenalo's on the board. News flash - he actually isn't.

That is spot on Leif. Think we've all worked at a place where the boss has his favourites, but are generally useless. They grass to the boss, flatter him, to get where they want. Seen it in so many places :whistling:

quite funny on one site I worked though , when the boss turned on the foreman , who thought he was safe

The person that brought him in has been long gone though... If he was so awful Roman would've got rid. He isn't stupid.

Fact remains, City went after Barcelona's ex-directors - some of which made them the club they were a few years ago. Bayern (!!!!) directors went to Barcelona to learn how they did their business establishing a philosophy and sticking with it through every new signing down to the way their academy works, spending months there to learn. RM had Zidane working for them for years, even if he was a moron (which I believe is far from the truth), his influence and respect in the world of football alone would open talks to players - for example, Hazard.

We had Emenalo instead. As if you needed more evidence that we aren't on the same level as some other top dogs.

and let's be honest, if you think this man alone got Mourinho fired, I think you're even more delusional than I initially assumed. He was the one who made the official announcement, he's one of the voices of the club to the media (one of the few or haven't you noticed we're very tight lipped on this side of London?), Mourinho getting fired was him making his own bed after dealing badly with some stuff and something that certainly came from higher people than Michael Emenalo. He's a non-factor and for as long as we keep this kind of people on our board we're in clear disadvantage. Call Mourinho all names you want, but don't ignore his brand. Our big signings during his time here mentioned HIS influence on their decision. Now we have almighty Emenalo to convince a player he should come here and not play European football instead of a figure like Zidane or Mourinho. Or the expertise of Barcelona's board. Let all the Pato's and promising American talents (!!!!) know us. I'm sure our board already have all their contacts.

Sure, let's completely ignore (going by your hypothesis) the good signings and talents that Emenalo supposedly unearthed...

Once again, Emenalo isn't actually on the board but people continue to ignore that and make stuff up. Before Emenalo we had Arnesen who was well renowned in his role but he advocated the signings of lots and lots of duds. Status really isn't everything.

Emanalo is an employee, he does what his bosses tell him to do. If the club isn't spending it isn't Emanalo who makes that decision.

It's really as simple as that. Do people genuinely think that Emenalo is telling the board to sign Papy ahead of Stones and Marquinhos?

If as much of the media says, he Is abramovichs eyes and ears, that Is a good enough reason for abramovich to keep him there. It doesnt mean he Is kept on for his football knowledge. People also need to stop thinking abramovich Isnt stupid just because he has loads of money

No, he bumbled Into money by hanging around a permanently drunk Yeltsin.

Giving a £30m yacht to Putin last month Is hardly saying Putin 'earned It'

Why are you comparing an over-the-top gift with someone's salary?

I doubt when he was an up and coming ogliarch he was spending ridiculous amounts on frivolity.

The funny thing about all this is, if we have a window as good as 2012 and 2014 this summer, we will be back to kissing Emanalo/the boards arses.

Only need to look at Costa thread now compared to before Christmas as to proof of how reactionary a lot of people are, at times its worse than Arsenal fans shifting from Wenger in/out based on the last result.

Maybe it was for a tax write of?

Could be, but probably more to do with a present for nice divorce settlement authorised by the Russian authorities amounting to hundreds of millions rather than billions

Not sure how true that is - I have it from a friend of friend who works at SB -so again not sure how reliable:

He deals with all the mid level and Youth stuff, and Maria Granovskaia deals with the first team transfers, but they are all on a board/committee that has an equal voteincluding Emanalo, bizarre as it may seem

I've read this a lot in here, but there are some people out there whose mind won't change that easily.

Just because some of the players decided after a big holiday to actual give fuck doesn't mean it's all rosy.
The Premier-League competition is fucked, there is no coming back from, everyone has to let that sink in!

Fixing an error will get you some praise, in my view that's reasonable, but that's it, if you would like to get more, you have to do it consistently.

Because you made a general statement about him not writing cheques to people that dont earn them.

So I generalized and that justifies your comparison between an apple and an orange?

Unfortunately too many people believe that rich people always make the right decisions. You can hear similar arguments from Trump supporters.
