There was never going to be a second leg under any circumstance but I know what you mean.

You'd be the first to point out, I know, that there is a lot more to playing full back than good crosses but we've seen little evidence of them from Baba in a Chelsea shirt anyway. He has made eight appearances; one was decent, one just about tolerable, and the rest ranged from poor to appallingly bad. So bad as to prompt speculation that if Baba trained as poorly as he played on those occasions, we might never see him in the first team again. Well we haven't seen much of him and there is clearly a reason for that.

Hiddink's line up against Scunthorpe pleased me because it suggests that his priorities are where I want them to be. I want to win the FA Cup. I'd be delighted to win with kids, but defeat with kids is of no use to me. I've read the argument that the presence academy graduates would be some sort of consolation in the event of defeat but I don't agree with that line of thought. If we lose with what Guus sees as his best XI then that is a consolation. At least then there would be no doubt that he had tried to win. If, however, the coach put out a side he felt was not our best, then defeat would attract my fury. I don't want consolation, I want Chelsea to compete for the magnificent trophy which was on the line at the weekend.

To those who ask how Hiddink can know if this player, or that player, is good enough unless they are played, I say that this is exactly what Hiddink is paid to decide. The only way for young players to get their names on the team sheet is to convince managers that they have the required abilities and attributes, and that all they lack is experience. They have to sell that idea to the coach with what they do in training, in development squad matches or out on loan. If they are unable to do that then they will not get minutes, and nor would they deserve to.

The fact that he prefers Mikel to MATIC of all people, in my eyes, our second best player behind Hazard, is extremely worrying. Any midfielder will look bad eventually playing next to a defensive liability like Fabregas. Matic doesn't deserve to be dropped while guys like Oscar and Ivanovic keep their places.

Hopefully, Guus figures this shit out quickly. You cannot bench Matic for Mikel.

Still early days, but I have to admit, I'm Disappointed. At least Rodgers would have given a lot of excitement, but this Guus is stale and boring. 

Still utilizing Mourinho's tactical shape and formations. Still playing under performing players. Azplicueta still out of position. Kenedy despite his goal will start on the bench in the next game. Oscar is a guaranteed starter regardless of how many games he plays like a lost child. 

The only change he's made is Mikel, who offers nothing when we have the ball. This team is going to get humiliated and destroyed come Champions league time if something doesn't change quickly. That pivot of Mikel and Fabregas (LOL) will get eviscerated and dissected against any good European passing team. 

I hope playing all the so-called "starters" against Scunthorpe was worth it. 

If it was up to me, all the garbage should be kicked out in the summer. Starting with Oscar, Ramires, Mikel and Ivanovic. The fact that these guys are still playing for us in 2016 shows how far we've fallen from not only Europe's best, but PL's best. 

Roman and the board need to take a good look at themselves. They have to shoulder a lot of blame for the predicament we find ourselves in, with their atrocious decision making and haphazard and clueless running of the club.  

It's just so disappointing that just a year ago, we had such a great base to build a special side, now we have to start again almost from scratch. And no one knows how much money Roman is willing to spend and the type of players we will be able to attract without CL football.

His fault so far has been to keep starting the same lineup and formation as the man he replaced. Needs to be more decisive and makes some changes..
