You watched Chelsea vs City right? I'm just checking because City did what you suggested and it was a shower of shite performance, I didn't see one potential star in their youth players... We humiliated them.

I don't think anyone expects us to start 5-6 seventeen-year-old kids each game, but players like RLC, Kenedy, Traore and even Baba should be starting games, they are not that green. Perhaps even utilize a defender from the academy instead of Cahill, you can hardly be worse than him right now.

West Ham were the better side today, we just got lucky with that last minute penalty. Hiddink's lineup was awful, and boring as usual. What's wrong with starting the likes of RLC, Traore and Rahman in today's match ? RLC came on for Oscar in the dying minutes and won us a penalty, what did Oscar does for the majority of the time he was on the pitch today ? Absolute fuck all. It's a criminal that Oscar is still founding his name on the teamsheet at a regular basis, one of the biggest fraud in football's history.

I'm glad Guus isn't planning to stay after this season is done and dusted, we need a manager with more balls than Hiddink the draw specialist.

Agreed, but ironically Oscar did win as much of a penalty as the one at the end.

One youngster doesn't play, moan.

One youngster does play, moan more ain't

Who was moaning about kenedy playing? Is this comment a joke or simply a wind up?

why is not rlc starting now? What does it take for gutless hiddink to drop that sack of shit Oscar, and play rlc!! Why was not baba starting ahead of iva who last time I watched before this game was made to sit on his ass by romelu while he scored a goal. I won't say traore because remy does deserve a shot, maybe.

Gutless thinks that we can still make a "European spot". I don't know what stuff he is having, but I won't try it. Play the fucking youth for once!!!!

Because if all those players played instead of being happy their probably be groans because Miazga didnt start and Jake Clarke Salter didn't come on at 3-0.

Where you here when we played Shrewsbury? Christensen, Ake and Zouma (who was " youth" at the time) got selected, in the threads after instead of being happy three teenagers got their chance it was "Jose hates youth, how dare he not play Baker and Brown".

Exactly - I can't be arsed with this forum anymore

so many fucking haters and negativity on EVERYTHING

it is ridiculous - West Ham are an in-form team and flying high, there is no God given right to beat them, playing RLC wouldn't have altered that in my opinion.

I can't wait to see the meltdown if a new manager comes in and doesn't pick the youngsters. The thing is the manager sees these players every single day in training - he is clearly seeing something we are not, so whatever it is, the youngsters need to sort it out.

What exactly was the point of starting Remy instead of Traore when Loic is almost certainly gone at the end of the seasons?

Why was Oscar played instead of RLC who has gotten much less playing time this season than promised?

Why not start Mizaga (is that his name?!) when the match result has very little significance?

Don't know about everyone else, but I would have gladly taken zero points yesterday instead of (an undeserved/lucky) one to see those three start.

Also, since result wise our season is basically over, why not have a couple of players from the academy on the bench just for motivation and maybe a cameo?

I'm genuinely beginning to believe that Guus is more worried about his unbeaten league record more than the future of this club...

The z and the a are reversed.

I'd have liked that but following Guus's press conferrence, when he said that youngsters were more likely to get chances after the international break, I didn't expect it.

It's clear from his pre & post match comments that Guus is very proud of the record, and rightly so. Let's see how things go after the break.

Did it work, though? Having watched the replay this morning, I thought Remy's and certainly Oscar's market values probably went down after that match...

Hopefully we get to see a bit different approach to matches after the break, then.

With home games against Spurs, Man City and Leicester to come, I'm not sure Hiddink would even play the kids.

I think I have reach to the point that whoever we played, old or youth, we will still get the same results. So in my opinion Guus could play anyone he wants.

Just finished the season, and if we could, on the process, we will help Leicester to win it. Have a little break and start a new era under Conte.

Considering we dont have anything to play for, I want to see something positive in the remaining matches.

Either give RLC, Baba, Kenedy, Traore a proper run at least to test them where they are before picking squad for next season. Dont care if we lose in that case because at least some young players will develop.

Or play safe, play Mikel and win the fucking game.

Im sick to death that Mikel, Oscar and others play week in week out, no improvement whatsoever and meanwhile all Guus does is keep selecting them so we can nick a fucking draw after draw in boring games. At least tell players to go all out, give them freedom to express themselves etc.

I dont know, but what we are doing now is leading nowhere. Selecting same team, same tactics, no changes, no improvement.

I would expect the board to have still some goals till end season like develop a youth player or sth. Instead our goal is what,; make another 6 draws in next 6 games?

Its this mentality and thinking that got the club in situation we are right now. Sadly different manager same story because all they are are yes men. I hope Conte of whoever will be independent.

One thing I've said is that, if we avoid defeat between now and the end of the season, we could end the season on a 22-game unbeaten streak.

Looking at our fixtures, that is going to be very difficult, especially with Spurs, City, and Leicester all at the Bridge, and Liverpool away. Villa away is never easy for us (bogey ground) and Sunderland is going to be a tough game for us, too, given their predicament. In fact, Bournemouth and Swansea, though both safe, will be tough trips as well.

Thinking about it, that's a fucking horrendous run-in  But if we avoid defeat in that period, going 22 games unbeaten is a phenomenal achievement, even if (at our current rate) about 15 of them will be draws

Villa away bring a bogey ground is truly a thing if the past. 10 points in 5 games there in recent times has put pay to that, still saying Villa Park is a bogey ground is the equivalent off us still regarding White Hart Lane as a routine three points.
