So? Benitez defended and said good things about Liverpool, do most of our fans care that he simply was looking after his employer and team? Imagine an ex Liverpool manager joining us who claims he loves scousers the most and that they are special... oh, you don't have to imagine it. Hence my question about how Manchester fans feel about the prospect of such a coach managing them. I think City fans are neutral, we never had strong rivalry with them, but MU is different. They used to absolutely hate Mourinho. The only difference I suppose is that Mourinho is a world class manager with proven record, as opposed to Benitez who came here with a shattered image.

Quite far from it, Benitez actually slated the fuck out of us as a club, the fans and also said he would never join Chelsea. Mourinho on the other hand hasn't said anything about Manchester, he may love Chelsea more but i doubt the United fans would even be remotely against it.

I mean come on, he's an amazing manager, whereas Benitez he's dog shite
