coolhead23 1,147
we got Remy because Torres left, having already secured Costa that season.Great transfer window that was.But otherwise I agree. the club has a history of buying average players instead of promoting our own youth talent. marin, benayoun, ben haim, ben sahar, sidwell, turnbull..the list goes on.As for this deal the jury is still out. some cbs can rach a high level very fast at a late age. dante was a decent 29 y.o. cb when he joined bayern and known for little more than his afro. Tho his amazing performances that season arguably won Bayern the CL...Never reached that level again but for 9m totally worth it. Cahill, Vidic also cbs who made a giant leap in their late 20ies having played for shit clubs before. If it comes off brilliant, if not who the fuck cares. next season kalas, omeruo and christensen will come back from their loans and we will see if anyone cuts it.Mate, you are one hopeful dude ... TBH My hope has just disappeared in the thin air ... I hope that your Hope comes true

zakhov 253
shut up and learn how to pronounce 'r', how to drive a car and while you are at it stop taking selfies and pictures of food That's pretty gggrrrrrr-rich coming a german. But hell, I sure would like to know the asian people you hang out with to have such off the mark stereotypes. No worries Spike, it's all good.Just a bit of banter (coming mostly from his side though).

Fernando 6,585
Ridicules. Why waste money on such a low standard option and we can't give time to some of our younger players?Yeah yeah I know Mourinho doing his stupid talk of youth.... I'm pissed, and if Mourinho does not sort this out by December I could care less what happens to him. A lot of this is his faults for his lack of rotation and youth! !Hazard! 3,394
I hope he is loaned to Everton as part of the Stones deal. Otherwise we all have got to be disappointed with this transfer window.Jose sure loves his big and physical players. Any stats on how many players has he signed for us that are over/under 6 feet tall?
DYC. 7,542
Such a Wenger signing. Let's hope for the best. What's most interesting about him is the fact that he's left-footed, which makes you think he hasn't been brought in to play alongside Terry. But then again, he could be a pure back-up. If so, I'm not a fan of the transfer because every player brought in should be competing for a first XI spot imo.

Adnane 1,101
Quick and powerful, he was initially deployed as a defensive midfielder for Nantes, before moving back into his more favoured position of central defender. This is where it all becomes interesting.
Jase 43,479
http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/09/djilobodji-signs.html Β Quote Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Papy Djilobodji from Nantes. The 26-year-old centre-back has signed a four-year contract. Djilobodji said: 'Iβm very happy to sign for a big club like Chelsea and I want to do my best to help the team win titles. I want to thank the club for giving me this opportunity.' Djilobodji (full name Papiss Mison Djilobodji), a Senegal international, has become a key figure for Nantes since signing for the French club in 2009. Having started his career playing for Senegalese side ASC Saloum, Djilobodji opted to make the move to Europe in October 2009 and signed for Senart-Moissy, who were in the French fourth division at the time. An imposing physical presence, Djilobodji quickly caught the eye of teams higher up the leagues and moved to Ligue 2 side Nantes just two months later, at the age of 21. Quick and powerful, he was initially deployed as a defensive midfielder for Nantes, before moving back into his more favoured position of central defender. His impressive displays at the heart of the back four were a crucial factor in Nantes securing promotion to the French top flight in 2012/13. Their first campaign back in Ligue 1 was an important one both for the player and club and Djilobodji produced a string of solid displays as Nantes preserved their top-flight status. Last season he was once again a pivotal member of an ever-improving team at club level, while on the international stage he was named in the Senegal squad for the African Cup of Nations and started two of their three matches at the tournament.
