🇬🇭 Baba Rahman

It would be weird to lose him to Roma. I follow Roma supporters on Twitter and 13m€ + bonuses is max they can offer. Roma is not in position to offer more for a left-back.

So here it is, Chelsea simply can't lose him to Roma. When I see what Augsburg say they just wait to sell him to highest bidder.

Also the whole "prefer move to Roma" approach by Baba Rahman is maybe there only to get more money from Chelsea. I don't know what they think in London but if they only can offer 300k more per year than Roma (2,5m€ to 2,2m€) while offering significantly less certain playing time, there's no brainer for the player. Money talks. They have to offer significantly more than Roma and Baba will be happy to join.

If Chelsea blow this chance to Roma then I don't know what the hell is happening here.

Left back Baba has an agreement with Chelsea but he is still waiting for Roma according to Di Marzio

It's safe to say Roma is out of the race when they buy Salah. They have zero non-EU spots left and with Salah and Castan (who comes back from long injury) they already have to make a room for those 2. They will look for someone with EU passport for LB spot.

Chelsea are in pole position to sign the Ghana defender Baba Rahman from FC Augsburg, with the German club expecting an opening bid of around £14m for the 21-year-old this week.

With Filipe Luís, the Brazil full-back, set to leave Stamford Bridge and return to Atlético Madrid for £16m after just one season in the Premier League, José Mourinho has moved quickly to replace him by following up earlier interest in Rahman.
Italian champions Juventus have also indicated that they are ready to make a bid along with Roma, although Rahman is understood to prefer a move to the Premier League.
Augsburg are holding out for a fee of €25m (£17.5m), although they are likely to accept slightly less for a player who joined them from Greuther Fürth only last summer.
