Don't see this during the next transfer window, maybe the summer. Well unless we plan to post a ridiculous loss in the first year of FFP, or sell off a whole bunch of fringe players.

Oh and PS stop with the Torres abuse, we were spanked by AM, defended like an under nine team and failed to even provide scraps going forward (WTF Ivan? Ramirez? They have been woeful this season).

Is Falcao better than Torres? Yes. Does this make Torres some third rate striker? No.

Seriously some of you remind me off kids at x-mas, screaming for the latest toy. You seem to forget the box full you've already got at home.

This is so exciting but SERIOUSLY!? His Buyout clause is £47.5m i read somewhere, it will be activated without doubt because i'm sure Atletico wont sell him otherwise, they bought him for £40m. He's won all he can there tbh, they'll never win the league because of the 2 big teams. He's had great success in Spain and Portugal so now the best league in the world awaits the best striker on the planet.

This would be monumental. He has the strength and heading power of a Drogba and can score from anywhere with any foot. Absolute master.

One good performance, and i knew he would, Pardew is an idiot, he tried to outplay us rather than let us come and counter attack. So he had one good game in about six, yet he was the worst player on the pitch against Atletico. He has still been our worst player so far along with Ivanovic, and i bet i am right at the end of the season and we will see who is laughing then.

The funny thing is you say it's stupid of me to judge Hazard on 3 games, yet isn't that the exact same thing you've just done?, you say he's proved me wrong after three games?. Hypocrite enough said, and it's laughable how anyone even hasn't even pulled you on this forum as you're one of the worst posters on here.

Also to point out how stupid you are, you say to me 'why are you bringing up Falcao for Barcelona'?, are you retarded?, you just said that Falcao would score loads of goals for Barcelona, how would he when he wouldn't even get into the team. He would ruin there play, he wouldn't be fluid enough he would just hang around upfront all the time. And Real Madrid he would never score the same amount as Ronaldo, as Ronaldo is one of the greatest players ever, Falcao is a poacher and a fantastic player but he isn't the same class as the greats such as Messi and Ronaldo.

Last reply to you, because it's pointless talking to you, I'd get a better response from a brick wall.

HAHA! your not very clever are you? first of all Eden Hazard has created 6 goals for us in 3 games! you said Hazard wasn't creative and in 3 games he has shown that he is! why do you want a whole season to see if he can create when he has already shown you? and btw that was the point i was making about you, your the hypocrite, you judged Hazard after a few games in pre-season then told me 'Hazard still hasn't proved himself, last i checked it takes at least a full season to prove yourself' haha so why did you judge him after a couple of games in pre-season??? Hahaha!

I'm still baffled as to why your telling me about Falcao playing upfront for Barca??? and then you i say i said 'Falcao would score loads of goals for Barcelona' please show me where i said that? i remember saying 'if Falcao had a team built around him with the type of quality players that Messi has around him then i think it would very possible for Falcao to score 50+ goals a season like Messi and Ronaldo' so again please show me where i said Falcao would score goals for Barca?

and when did i ever say Falcao was in the same class as Ronaldo and Messi??? please tell me that? i remember saying if Falcao had better players around him he could score as many goals as Ronaldo and Messi! he isnt as good as them because Ronaldo and Messi can do alot more than just score goals, but as a goalscorer if Falcao had more quality around him he would without any doubt at all be up their with Ronaldo and Messi at scoring 50+ goals a season. that was the point i was making, but again you dive in head first without fully understanding someones point!

so to avoid further embarrassment in the future you should really actually read posts and try to understand them before you come in with you ignorant comments.

Absolutely. It's the kind of release clause that you would just have to trigger because he's worth every penny. We spent more on Hazard and Oscar (i won't even mention Torres). Falcao will have the impact of those 2 imo and maybe more. It's a no brainer, just activate that clause!

I would take him but it would have to be in January. We brought Torres a year or two too late and paying that kind of money, the player needs to be in the middle of their prime, which is now for Falcao. If he got us 25-30 goals a season for the next 4-5 years he would be well worth the money.

I would try and do a deal involving Torres though. If thats £20-30m and Torres then so be it. There would be no point having both at the club.

Lets see come January and hope that regardless Torres has been banging the goals in the first half of this season.

If he comes in january and we can stay really close to the top of the league by then, the title race would be game on... We still would probably be vulnerable on the counter attack but with Hazard Mata and Co, and a striker like him we would score a shit load of goals....

I do agree, if Falcao came, Torres would have to go. Maybe be involved in a swap deal. He's always said he wants to finish his career there anyway so it would be a good thing to happen. We took a big gamble on Torres and it just simply hasn't worked out, these things happen. If he gets the winner tho on Saturday 29th September, he will always be in my heart. Tbh tho, his goal in Barca will never be forgotten no matter what.

Falcao could go to Chelsea or City in Jan, claims father

The Colombia international would be coveted by clubs throughout Europe if he were to become available, but his father revealed on Sunday that the Premier League is his most likely destination.

"Yes, it's very likely," Radamel Sr said, when asked if his son could move to the Premier League in January.

"Ever since he was a boy he has loved Chelsea and has always thought it would be an honour to play for a big Premier League team."

A swap for Falcao with Torres would solved all our problems.

I was hoping they do that this summer, but they never did.

If Torres starts doing good, then we will have a good case to swap.

But if Torres is still flopping, we would have very little chip to bargain.

The links have been confirmed and he is an admirer of ours. I hope we get him in January. Something to look forward to now :) If Torres still hasn't worked out by January use him in a Player plus cash deal for Falcao. It's perhaps the only way we'll get rid of Torres in return for something of good value.

But then what job does PetrCechx have?

There were some men in black knocking on my door, but my TC bodyguards disposed of them pretty easily.

This. I said it lots of times before. Torres would love to return there also and the fact that he already won the CL with us helps also.

Yeah but Torres has to be doing at least some good.

Cause if he is sucking ass, he's value will decrease even more.

So if, and that's a big IF the club and Torres wants a swap, then Torres must give us something here.

Dazzle everyone with his magic, that will make A. Madrid lick their lips in having him back.

And come on let's face it, no matter how much he wins here and makes, Torres heart will always be in A. Madrid.

While a Cavani, or Falcao can easily become big lovers of the club like the Drog. I prefer someone with this attitude at our club.

Good post.

All of this feels too good to be true. Taking it with a pinch of salt at the moment.

Sometimes a good thing has to be true...

So -

Reports lately have been we'd move for Falcao in the January window.

We've been admirers of him for around 2 seasons.

Then it emerges that we're about to sell Meireles, which we don't even need to do at all.

Are we raising funds for something?

Now, quotes from his dad on Sky Sports are:

"Falcao has always wanted to play in the Premier League. Ever since he was a boy he has loved Chelsea and has always thought it would be an honour to play for a big Premier League team."

Now, of course the part about 'always loving Chelsea' is probably a lie as we didn't have the same exposure etc. when Falcao was a boy, so this is an obvious tap-up to try and get us to bid for him, which I'm sure would make many people happy.

Also, Atletico Madrid have to sell him either in January or next Summer I believe.

They still owe the majority of the fee to Porto and are in major debt; hence them selling some of their best players this window.

He will leave for less than what his transfer clause is. I'm 99% sure.

Falcao was mainly bought to keep the fans happy as any hardcore Atleti fan will tell you. It was awful for the finances of the club.

BOOM!
