RoyalBlues 4,050
LOL what has Mourinho got to do with this? They're obsessed with the man probably because they wanted him to replace Fergie. http://www.redcafe.net/threads/your-preference-for-the-next-manager.370323/"Moyes. MrBlueGuy 1,552
^^^^^^^^LOL people debating if Falcao is not better than Costa? I mean fcuking hell he was in Team of the Year a coupke of years ago, wake the fuck up. Like many have said though, it is not about the name but rather the suitability to the system and Costa is perfect for us atm.
bababoom 4,478
Shows you how big of a club United are, they can attract the biggest stars without CL football... yes, it definitely has nothing to do with the outrageous wages their offering... Special Juan 28,141
Said when Rooney was offered fucking stupid money that the next big signing will want more and the poisoned chalice will continue, it has, the rocky road continues. DH1988 1,348
Attracting stars? Hardly, here is the breakdown of his agreement or contract or whatever you want to call it - I'd certainly sacrifice CL football for this...£12m loan fee£350,000 a week wages = £18.2m a year before tax+ an agreement to sign him for an additional £51m next year to avoid FFP rules on a four year deal at the same wages which is £91m in a wages total for the five years before tax + £61m transfer fee (Inc. the loan fee)Total investment in a 29 year old striker = £152m*Sources are various, obviously what we have all read just collated into one place.Good player but a risky investment and a heck of alot of money.I'm completely fine with spending £800k this summer (net spend). It's not just that, Falcao wanted RM a lot more than United and I think he would've preferred City too If they could've sign him, while Di Maria was close to PSG and he reportedly preferred them. Those are really big signings for United, 2 of the best players in the world, but there wasn't a real market for both and united didn't face any competition. BenIsLegend 475
why are people obsessed with comparing players?it doesn't matter, all that matters is who's the better teamNo idea who the better striker is because they're different players, however one thing I do know is that Diego is better for us. Falcao probably wouldn't have fitted in our system, we need a big presence up front someone Didier esque and Costa is that guy. I have a lot more faith in Costa working in our system than I would Falcao.

Hazard only chose us because we offered more than MU and City and countless other cases. I agree it is annoying for them to sign a good striker but we should stop trying to dig ridiculous excuses to make us look like hypocrites. MU only realized this summer you have to sign the top players for huge fees if you wanna get back up top, they had to overpay because of CL football missing. Special Juan 28,141
We did what we did early in the window and looking back the players weren't just good but the moving early was better. We acted on Remy because Torrres went late....We dotted the 'i's' and crossed the 't's' whilst United and Arsenal will still learning to write. Pizy 18,907
58mil pounds in a year. 58 fucking million pounds... just insane!!!!!!!1Plus Mata, Ashley Young, and Luke Shaw all on at least £100k a week.Their wage bill is astronomical. Has to be second only to Real Madrid. All of that complaining for years about the spending and wages at City, PSG, and ourselves, all of the uproar from their fans and even Sir Alex himself about us paying £32m and £175k a week or whatever it is for Hazard and they now have 4 (FOUR!) players who earn at least £50k more per week than Hazard does and 2 who make nearly DOUBLE what our highest earner makes. They shattered the transfer record by £10m, they shattered the record for a teenager with £30m for a fucking LB, and they've paid the highest loan fee in history with and option to buy him for what would've been a transfer record if they hadn't just broken it. They've broken the record for most money ever spent in a single window. They've spent £200m in 2014.Yet they do it the "United way." Chelsea, City, and PSG are ruining football. United are congratulated and praised by the media when they spend all this money, yet of we tried to do it there would be calls for expulsion from the CL and huge sanctions. BlueLyon 9,359
Well if they have money it wont hurt them one bit...Even after such crazy spending havent seen anything with United warned by FFP. They have shitload of money and it appears they will splash most of it in few seasons under this idiotic board which is fine. Imagine they had Mourinho, Simeone or someone like that running the club, the situation would be completely different...Also why is RVP suddenly done? Yes he has operation, but he had those whole career, and he was still very good in world cup. Dont think we should write him off this quickly.
