The Skipper 20,609
How come he's having a shit Copa America when he's only played one match and hasn't had a chance to do anything?? Jesus Christ. Colombia was a shambles last night. The similarities between this thread and the one we've had last summer are amazing, you people seem to never learn, although Diego Costa has proven that international form/performance means fuck all.Okay, international form isn't important but what about his performances at club level then? It really isn't the same as Diego's case at all. The thing is, Falcao used to be good for Colombia as well so it's very worrying to see that he's struggling for them as well. Thor 2,717
I watched a fair bit of him last season, and I don't think the situation is as bad as people make it out to be. He can still play, still get into the right spots, and still finish. LVG was running some whacky line ups out there, playing players out of position, and changing tactics up every second week. It is hard for a player who isn't in form, coming back from injury, and playing in a new league to get any semblance of consistency. I'm positive he can still be a world class player. Yes, that good. It is all there, apart from the consistency and confidence. I'm sure we'll do everything to rectify that.

The worst time for Falcao to come to the Prem was after an injury on a team with no identity. He claims he struggled because Van Gaal played him out of position. Apart from the goal he was very, very average to put it nicely.

So he showed he is still capable to find space in the box. When a striker scores a goal that performance is elevated from shit/average to good. All you want him to do is take advantage of the chances he has and clearly he did that. Having not watched either game I don't really have too much to say about his overall game but so long as in the stat sheet it says Falcao goal... not much to really nitpick about. termninja 5,290
Posts about a player that say he's done really are boring. If Falcao does well, then we have a great striker, and if he's mediocre them we have a great 3rd choice. With settled Costa and Remy and addition of Falcao, I feel this is the strongest strikeforce we had for some time.

Blue Colored Sky 1,807
This transfer is only on the cards because Mourinho's agent is also Falcao's agent. It's a terrible deal aka the kind of deal we supposedly no longer entertained.YES but wait until Mendes is going to help to bring someone big next. Di Maria, Griezmann, Laporte, Varane, Jose can pick who he wants. Small gain now, big gain in the future. It's just a loan. I'm even happier now when Monaco take two youngsters to develop and offer them European football.
OhForAGreavsie 6,077
not always mate - remember this?I was describing Torres as a very ordinary player before he joined Liverpool as well as while he was there. I say this to make it clear that I'm no apologist for the man but he has been unfairly criticised for missing that chance. The ball was played slightly behind his run and with so much pace that he had no time to adjust his shape. He gets a free pass on that one from me. The thing is, Falcao used to be good for Colombia as well so it's very worrying to see that he's struggling for them as well. His performance for United is irrelevant as well. He was coming back from a nasty injury and that place was a mess, too. He was in the wrong place and only United fans will say he is finished just to defend their team. But the truth is that United was painful to watch as well, a coach that has struggled to adapt to EPL football (not really sure he is fully adapted now), fucked up tactics, a different line-up every week, players played out of their natural position and a squad filled with some bang average players that Chelsea wouldn't even look into their CVs.RedCafe is a decent place, definitely better than RAWK, bluemoon or the Arsenal forums where delusion and bitterness rule those places. But like all the other fans, RedCafe members are biased as fuck when it comes to Falcao. Especially now that he is coming to Chelsea. Deep inside them, they know that there's chances this move can come to haunt them, but they still call him names and say he is finished. As a comparison, I've heard most of them calling Herrera "the most complete midfielder in England" and Blind "on the same page as Matic". Isn't it funny? Won't even talk about Depay, that thread is comedy gold.
