I don't need to read a lot of posts to understand this deal comes with its flaws. Not my fault I'm cautious about the club I support.. as Special Juan said.. it's my own opinion on the matter at hand.

You wrote you wonder whether you are alone thinking this deal is not so good - so no, there are many doubters here ;)

i am absolutely loving this deal.

with the way people are cribbing, you would think we had got peter crouch on loan. low expectations, not much invested, very low risk move.

i think falcao's gonna surprise the shit out of a lot of people.

If we end up losing such a valuable and reliable striker in Remy as a result, it will be impossible to justify this signing. It is illogical and totally needless. I don't know the need for signing a washed up striker to be third choice when you have two solid strikers in Traore and Bertrand to fill the role. Who spends £10m minus wages on a third choice anyway.

Lol he won't. And he is more of a Peter Crouch. And that's kinda an insult to Crouch because at least Crouch is very lethal in the air in the opposition box.

Look at Copa America. He's finished, like Torres. I'll eat my hat if Falcao becomes lethal again.

hahahhahahhahahahhahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

4 goals and 4 assists in 14 starts for the season... In a dysfunctional team changing its line up every single game and no synergy... coming back from injury.

Why are we pretending Falcao doesn't know how to play football anymore? As someone who watched some United, it isn't due to injuries he played poorly, but mainly looking lost out there and not knowing where to be. Completely understandable in a team where Rooney was being played as a defensive mid at points in the season. He will be fine on a team like ours where his role will be more defined. His creativity and shooting ability is still there.

If we are only getting him to purely replace Drogs then it's fine. It would actually be an upgrade despite the higher wages. The problem here is if such a talented backup who can play better than Costa at times is going to leave as a result.

All the excuses I'm hearing for this transfer is basically the same hope with Torres. We've heard it all before haven't we? It's the expectation that kills you.

Honestly if we were to gamble, I'd rather try a young and hungry striker like Solanke if he isn't going to be loaned out.

But let's be honest, there aren't many players willing to be the 3rd striker here at Chelsea are there? No way young guys like Lacazette or Destro would want to sit at the bench.

So despite all the negatives, I think we're resigned to the fate and trust in our coaching staff to bring out the best in him. No matter how much some of us are against it, if he turns out good we'll happily eat that humble pie. So let's just support him while he wears our colours shall we?

Honestly mate i just hope that the Falcao signing lights enough fire under Costa's ass (and hopefully Remy's) that Diego goes apeshit goalpig mode scoring 40 next year.

Then next yr is the academy guys to take over.

4 goals in 14 starts is mad deceiving when he's totalling 4 goals in 29 appearances for United.

Falcao is not a creative striker either. Never was.

Crouch = 8 goals

Falcao = 4 goals

Now who's the clown? Falcao is finished, get over it. Falcao isn't awesome like he used to be. Torres 2.0 bound. You are talking as if he is going to suddenly change with a click of fingers back on old form.

Mourinho is a tactician, not a magician.

2013-14

crouch - 9goals (2290 minutes)

falcao - 11goals (1495minutes)

2012-13

crouch - 8 goals

falcao - 34 goals

2011-12

crouch - 14 goals

falcao - 36 goals.

want be to go further down?

so one season right after a massive injury, and into a new and physical league while playing in a 3-5-2 or someother asenine system is the norm for MANA the great to judge TIGRE,

what a weird thought. jose is not a magician and yet HE is the one who wanted falcao at chelsea despite having all the money and a lot of options open (benteke, lacazette etc). hmmm... well, i would take jose the tacticians' opinion over yours. :clown: :clown: :clown:

I'd rather they light each other's asses and score 80(yes I'm greedy). Would have the added bonus of making United look like twats
