Atlas Lion 1,223
Falcao made a penalty. All my fearful assumptions of him never returning to his former self have vanished now.
DYC. 7,542
Would've flipped if Colombia went through. They did nothing. Ospina...So typical of Argentina to make things so hard. But they're through. Messi showing his class. Thought Pastore and Di Maria played really well as well. But they lack so much scoring wise though.
DYC. 7,542
Binho's still got it. I'm glad Dunga finally picked him over Tardelli. He's always been a good performer for Brazil and it hasn't changed even after being out for so long.I don't think Alves has ever performed so well for Brazil. WNDS 502
Brazil lost control of the game when Dunga subbed Willian out in the 60th minute. He wasn't having the best of games individually (a bland 6/10), but by dropping deep into midfield to link play together he was allowing Brazil to exert some level of control over proceedings. As soon as he went off, Brazil were playing what was in effect 4-2-4, with Robinho, Firmino (later Tardelli), Coutinho, and Douglas Costa all playing very high up the pitch; Fernandinho and Elias were left ridiculously isolated, and so were utterly overwhelmed in the middle-third. The result of all this was that Brazil were not only exposed defensively, but were also unable to mount any genuinely coherent attacks, even with the game becoming very stretched and open. RoyalBlues 4,050
So Argentina seems will win this year. Brazil as expected, their squad still not mature enough. They need experiences.

My man walks back into the team when he's fit.He always becomes so average when he puts on that Brazil shirt. But yeah, it shows you technique does not equal quality. It's about what you do with it. Flashes of quality doesn't get you anywhere on the long run.
