Filipe Luis would be better suited

Yea, but marcelo is still the starting leftback, while Luis plays if marcelo doesn't.

Oscar has been a starter for a while with neymar

Although he WAS in the Copa America squad until ruled-out through injury, Marcelo has been called-up for less than half of the Brazilian NT matches played under Dunga, and has started in only one game so far (a friendly vs Chile a few months ago). Luis has played the most minutes of any player selected by Dunga, and has generally done very well as the starting LB, showing good defensive ability and providing 3 assists; he's very much first-choice, and is currently the player that Dunga seems to trust the most.

Despite this, I would anticipate that either Miranda (another big Dunga favourite) or Thiago Silva (former captain, and back in the team ahead of David Luiz) is selected to be the captain in Neymar's absence.

Doesn't really matter.

Luis is turning 30 in a few months and will not be a long term player for Brazil. Marcelo getting benched and dropped was just dunga warning marcelo.

If brazil doesn't win this summer, their a good chance dunga gets sacked again. The captain should be one of their core players; Luiz, silva, oscar, or neymar.

I doubt Dunga would get the sack for not winning this copa America with 3 starters out.

LOL at Barca players talking about Neymar.

Mascherano saying they kicked Neymar out of Copa, Alba saying he would do the same etc...what a load of bullshit. Just to make Neymar less of a dick which he realy is.

This must be the worst Brazil line-up I've ever seen. Robinho  Venezuela needs to score to at least stand a chance to go through so they will have to attack at some point, otherwise I would have gone for 0:0 correct score.

Still, I've placed some bets just for fun.

No goals scored before 28th minute (10/11), 0:0 correct score at half time (6/4) and Brazil to win the game and under 2.5 goals combined (9/4).

Dunga was sacked before and this time around he will have a shorter leash. If brazil cannot do well this tournament with the crap defensive football dunga plays, he will be sacked..

First Colombia match I watch this tournament. Cuadrado and Falcao looking pretty hopeless. That's encouraging...

I watched the match against Brazil and I still don't know what people praising Cuadrado were seeing. I see him almost as useless and uninspiring as for us. So one nearly decent free kick that produced a deflected goal must have been the reason he got praise. As I write it as it happened, I still don't get those people.

Yesterday he looked as bad as he was for us. 8 times out of ten when he gets the ball he tries to beat his man by knocking the ball forward and trying out run him. Then he gets shouldered, overpowered, looses the ball, falls to the ground and looks at the ref who obviously gives nothing.

He desperately needs a new trick...
