manpe 10,861
If he does recover by the end of December, we would have to give credit to our medical team, because his initial deadline was March I believe... Some said he'll miss the whole season. No doubt he'll start by playing reserve and cup games (if we're still in them) and then we'll see if he can recover at least 80% of his old form or not. If he does, then great, he might help us in the second half of the season.... But I have a feeling we ought to sell him in the summer, he's made of glass and another serious injury will probably put the final stamp on his career. Kostas 1,468
I've been thinking that if RVP's skill survived his billion injuries Essien might have some uses once he returns.
CHOULO19 24,332
Even if he returns at the end of Jan. He'll need at least a month with the reserves to get used to playing competitive matches again. So I don't think he'll be in AVB's plans any time soon. The Big Drog 1,110
Lol I can't believe André said we won't look at Modric because of Essien Bluff harder son!During the course of his long absence Essien developed the technical attributes of a world class playmaker, given how much he is absent I suppose it isn't THAT unbelievable. Kostas 1,468
And what about physical abilities ? Since his game is more based on it than on skill..Besides TBD's theory, which might be as realistic as mine, I said he may have some uses because the optimist in me believes than even without the physical attributes that made him world class he is not a shit footballer and can be usable in the PL possibly as a cover (obviously not on his current contract).
