He does remind me a lot of Kaka, whether he has the same level of ability? Doubt it, but we'll see.

I don't see it. Kaka was a freak of nature, his acceleration/speed was uncanny for a player with his technique.

Coutinho is much better comparison.

As long as he ain't the next Oscar

Damn the hate Oscar gets on this forum from some is ridiculous, you must be a Willian fanboy.

Not that i think that highly of Oscar, but surely it doesn't take that much of a brain to realize that buying a player for 3m and turning into 25m+ is quite fantastic.

If he can't get a work permit can he do preseason with us the way Bertrand Traore did?

Unless i'm mistaken I thought Traore was on trial with us when he played for us in preseason against that Singha All Stars team?

His transfer was an odd one though, no idea what went on tbh.

"He’s the new Oscar, as some used to dub him at Atletico Paranaense. Perhaps more accurately, he's a slower version of Oscar who's still seduced a host of big clubs like Real Madrid, Monaco and Hamburg after impressing at the 2013 Under-17 World Cup and scoring five times in the United Arab Emirates."

Weaknesses

He has never completed a 90-minute match for Atletico Paranaense, and only scored once for the senior side. He’s also showed a slow pace throughout this time, probably something to worry about considering the Premier League’s often-frantic dynamics.

WTF. I have never seen Nathan play, but from the youtube clips he looks a lot faster than Oscar???

nathan-chel.jpegVitesse have already welcomed midfielder Lewis Baker on loan from the Premier League champions, but Chelsea are set to send three or four more players to Arnhem. The latest is set to be Brazilian Nathan Allan de Souza, who joined Chelsea from Atletico Paranaense this summer for £4.5 million.

The 19-year-old midfielder was a star for Brazil at the 2013 U17’s World Cup, being named as the tournaments 2nd best player after his five goals led his nation to the final. Since then Nathan has made 13 appearances for the Brazil U20’s, while making seven appearances for Atletico Paranaense.

Chelsea hope that loaning Nathan to Vitesse will give him some experience of playing in Europe, while the Arnhem club are looking for midfielders after the departure of Marko Vejinovic to Feyenoord, while Davy Propper is set to join PSV.
