Harry Kane wins Young Player of the Year

The second biggest non-surprise of the evening. Eden Hazard was second in the voting. IS THAT AN OMEN FOR THE MAIN AWARD?

Kane said: “It is amazing. It is a very proud moment for myself and my family - hopefully the first of many to come,” Kane said of his award.

“I have got to keep working hard, but to be recognised by your fellow players is something special and it is a night I wont forget.

“It is incredible, an incredible feeling.”

Asked to sum up his season in one word, Kane went for: “Unreal.”

United are so lucky that Liverpool drew with WBA yesterday. Had they won and then beat Hull (their game in hand) on Tuesday, they would only be 2 points behind them.

I think both teams will drop a few more points. I can't imagine Utd out of the top 4 two years in a row though.

Utd out of the top 4 would be more benificial for Chels, but I like/respect Utd a lot more than Liverpool. That said, I don't really care either way.

Coutinho ahead of Fabregas in the TOTY doesn't make a lick of sense. Okay, Fabregas' form tailed off in the 2nd half as predicted, but the same can be said for Sanchez who has been pretty poor for most of 2015. Cesc didn't turn up in big games, well neither did Sanchez, for the most part. A month of excellent play doesn't warrant team of the season. The argument I've seen on the internet is the players found "Coutinho difficult to play against" which is partly true, but the same could be said of other players like Cazorla for example, who has clearly been better than Coutinho this season.

Anyway, nice to see Cahill in the team. He was getting buried here by some because of a period of terrible performances, but he has bounced back. The other Chelsea lads are no-brainers.

no not even close

Well you have not watched Bertrand then. You would not be able to tell me much games where he had a poor game. It would be easy to put Azpi in the team because he plays for the soon to be champions etc but there two fullbacks have been excellent all season.

Man City is second place and have 0 players......If Costa is in the team of the season, Aguero has a better argument than Costa and Kane. Silva better than coutinho.

Ozil has played marvelous since the beginning of 2015, might as well get him on the team of the seaon if Coutinho somehow made it. I don't know how both cahill and ivan made the team.

The two biggest snubs is definitely aguero and cesc...How does the leading scorer/assister in the epl not get in?
